HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-06-02Minutes of He~ular Meeting of ~3oard of Aldermen of City of :3iverside, Mo. a regular meeting of the bo~.rd of Aldermen of Cityof ~_ Rive side, Missouri was held in the City of Riverside City Hall in Riverside on June 2, 1964, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen H. Brenner, W. Brenner absent for roll call only; Clerk M:~ors, ~.nd ~oa~g present, Swetn~m absent and Mayor Filger culling said meeting to order. Minutes of M~<y 19, 1964 were read and accepted as read. Clerk moved that Maxine McKeon's application for license to sell liquor by the drtitk be accepted, seconded; and also her application for restaurant be accepted, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes wer~'g~~:-follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Majors ~, Swetnam-a~iss~#,and Young-<::ye; H. Brenner moved that the 6i~ty approve Mr. Bumg:~rdner's application for building house on Lot 9 in Northwood acres, seconded by Clark, the r~11.:~Kaa called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-.:ye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Swetna~-absent; T4ajors-aye; and Young-aye. Clark moved that the automatic car wash business license be 2.00, seconded by Majors, the roll was called and votes were as o lows: H. Br n er-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clerk-aye; Swetnam-absent; ajors-aye; an~ ~oung-aye. Young moved that Bile No. D-64-11 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the ggeneral fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Majors n, the rollccwas called a~n~d~~ votes werre as follows: H. Brenner-aye; andB~ilpBle~oay~'b41~~kwa~eac ordninglybread; Majors-aye; Young-aye; Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-64-11 be placed on its second reading, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll w~a called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner- aye; Clark-aye; Swetnam-absent; Majors-aye; :and 3foung-aye; Bill No. D-64-11 was accordingly read. H. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-64-11 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. D-64-11 seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was c=filled and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Majors-aye; S~yetnam-absent; Young-aye; Bi:.l No. D_644~1 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-64-11. A party inquired with regard to selling ice cream fPom a jeep ~:.nd wanted to know iflicens~ were required. He was advised to date there were no license required, however, eventually the matter would be worked out and then perhaps a license would be required. H.
