HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-04-07Minutes of Regular Mee6ing of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on April 7,1 964, at 8:00 P.M. and upon a roll call, Aldermen H.F~r, W. Brenner, Clark Majors, Swetnam and Young «ere present, Mayor~ca ng said meeting to ord®r. Mirrates of regaalr meeting of 1~Iarch 17, 1964 were read and accepted as read. W. Brenner coved that the City A cept the building application o! John F-lger and F. F. Filger for business building subject to their getting three drawings of plans by architect and also permit from the County Helath Department, seconded by Qa~t4nner; the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Bienne -aye; W. Bremner-aye; Clark-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam- declined; Young-aye. Bill Wilson stated he talked to City Attorney and Mr. Dorsey was to get some ordinances on procedures and other things necessary for the Plumbing Inspeotor to do, and Mr. Wilson requested that he be appointed as such. Clark Moved that the City appoint Bill Wilson as plumbbing inspector for no compensation or pay whatsoever, W.Brenner seconded the motion, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye Clark-aye; Majors-nay; Swetnam-Nay and Yung-aye, providing and with the stipulatidn that everything the Plumbing inspector have permission toab be in~,riting and also everything and all orders the plumbing inspector gives, mast be in writi and th council tae in accord. It was agreed the right of way was 50 ft. and that Mr. Filger would contact the Light Company and the poles would have to be moved. Swetnam moved that the business application for liceanes of Rocket Dl.ive in be approved, seconded by H. Brenner- the rollwwas called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenne -aye; Clark-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. Majors moved that Bill Nom 333-10 being bill canvassing the returns of the General Election Held on April 7. 1964 for the City offices and declaring results thereof and providing for the issuance of certificates of election, s»nt-~ be placed on its first reading seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark~ye; Majors-aye; Swetnam~ye; and Young-aye; bill No. X3_10 was accordingly nad. H. Brenner-moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 333-10 be placed on its second reading, seconded by W. B2ED!NBR, the roll was oalled and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aloe; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 333-10 was accordingly read. W. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 333-10 be placed on its third reading and uponpassage of same become Ord. No. 333-10, seconded by H. Brenrmtr_ the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-afee; Majors-aye; Swetnam-fie; and Young~yre;, Bill No. 333-10 was accordingly r=ad, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 333-10. W. Brenner moved that Bill No. D-64-7 being bill. providing for the arpropriation of money out of the general Hind of the 81ty oP Biversidefor the payment of certain indebtedness as listed there in be placed on its first reading, seconded by Majors, the roll was called and votes tare as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; lfajors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young_aye; and Bill No. D-64-q was accordingly read. Clark moved that ruleaie suspended and Bill No. D-64-7 be placed on its second reading, seconded by St+d~nam, the roll was called and votes were as -- follows: H. Brenner-afae; W. Bremer-aye; Clark-aye; Majors-ays; Swetnam -aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. D-64-7 was accordingly readli H. Brenner- moved that rulest be suspended and Bill No. D-64_q be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D_64_~, seconded by W.
