A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
Missouri, was held in the City Hall on February 18, 196!}, at 8;00
p. Pi. and upon a roll call, arTermen H. Brenner, Clark, Majors,
Swetnam and Young were present, W. Brenner absent and Mayor Filger
callin{~ said meeting to order.
Minutes of regular meeting of February 4, were read and accepted
as read.
Tresurer~s report for month of January, 1964 was read and accepted.
PIr. Grady, reported that in discussing the sewage problem with
Mr. Perrot, assistant to Charles, that he suggested that Mr. Grady
run a latteral line along his property where it parallels the road
right of way and this would keep any water from going in to the
drainage ditch of the road right of way, and these were to be 4"
laterals, if the work is done in this manner it was stated there
would probably be no drainage in the ditch at all, or as matter of
fact there should be no water even at the end of the latterals and
i°•r. Grady stated this latteral line would be in the ground three
feet deep.
Swetnam moved that Bill No. 349 being bill providing for the
appointment of an assistant Chief of Police and prescribing the
duties and authority of said Assistan t Chief of Police be placed
on~..ts first reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: :i. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-absent; dark-eye;
Majors-a~Te; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. 349 was accordingly
read.
Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bil1P~o. 349 be placed
or. its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and
votes wwere as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Erenner-absent; Clark-aye;
Swetnam-aye; Pia jots-a~~e; Youngs=aye; and Bill No. 349 was accordingly
re ~. d .
H. B renner moved that rules be suspended and Bill I~'o. 31}9 be
placed on its third reading and upon passage of same tecome Ord.
Igo. 34~?, seconded by Mayors, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-absent; Clark-sye; Majors-aye;
Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; B 11 No. 349 was accordingly read, a cproved
by Mayor Filger and became Ordl No. 349.
Majors moved that the City authorize Asst. Chief of Po'.ice
Doug. Seneker to purchase the items as listed in his reo~uests of
February 17 and 18, 1964, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called
and dotes were as follows: H. Bren.ne?.-aye; W. Brenner-abse~; dark-aye
Majors-aye; Swetnarr.~-aye; and Young-aye.
Clams moved that the City authorize Per. Dorsey to notify the
City of Kansas City, Missouri that Riverside had no objection to
Kansas City placing its pumping station on the Nierryfield property
in the City of Riverside, seconded by H. ?renner, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: :-I.Brerner-aye; W. Brenner-absent; Clark-aye;
Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
H. Brenner moved that the b~:.ilding applications for residence
of William Kretschner and K. P. Searcy be approved and accepted, providin
William Kretschner furnishes an approval by Charles for the sewage,
seconded by Swetnam the roil was called and votes were as follows:
H. BrenneY-aye; W. renner-absent; Clark-aye; majors-aye;
Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
T3. Brenner moved that Bill P?o. D-64-4 b sing bill providing for
the a-propriation of money out of the gene ral fund of the City of
Riverside for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein
be placed on its first reading, seconded by Swetnam the roll was called
and votes were as follows: :3. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-absent; Clark-aye;
Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. D-64-4 was accordingly
read.

H. Brenner moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Clark, meeting
adjourned.
