October 15, 1963
A regular meeting of the Board of Alt]ermen of City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on October 15,
1963 at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, H. Brenner-
W. Brenner, Swetnam we Ye present, Owens and Young A~eent, Mayor Fi]ger
calling said meeting to order.
October 1, 1963 minutes were read and accepted as read, the
Treasurers report for September 1963 was read and accepted.
Mayor Filger announced there would be a special meeting November 1,
1963 as the Zoning Boards recommendations were read and approved the
rezoning of the property as requested.
Paul V. Owens' resignation was read and it was decided to table
the matter until later dat®.
M r. Buford and Mr. Stratton requested permission fora Fiberglass Land
Fill on pr operty described in their application for business license,
they advised this land fill was for fiberglass only and maybe the paper
which is around the fiberglass, Nir. Buford advised the fiberglass would
disintergrate and go back into its natural form of sand within 8~znx
fine years and that it would make a very good foundation fmr bui_dings.
Clark moved that we accept the Business license application of Robert H.
Stratton for the Fiber lass Land dill and that the fee be X25.00
until the first of 196, subject to revision of the license fe, seconded
by W. Brenne r, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
H. Bre°ne-aye; W. Brenner-eye; Clark-s ye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye;
and Young-absert~
A3~lication by Russell Honeycut for body shop and garage in
Ernest Renner Building where the Donut Shop was formerly in business
was presented to the council, and Mr. Honeycut was advised the license
was on a quarterly basis for the reason that if the place was not kept in
mrder, said license would not be renewed, and he stated he undo rstood,
and upon motion by W. Brenner that said license application be
accepted and seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: H. Bremer-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens2absent;
Sw~tram-a~Te; and Young-abs~>rt.
Application for business license for pharmacy by Wilford J. Keeling
was presented to the council, same to be located in the new building
across from the City Hall and just a little East, and upon motion by
W. Brer.re r that said application be accepted, s econded by Clark, the
`- rollwas called and votes were as follows: H. Bremer-aye; W. Brenner-rye;
Clark-aye; Swetnam-aye; Owens-absent and Young-absent.
Clark moved that we accept David House and RichardFewin as reserve officers
and their pay be 1.00 per year as the other reserve officers, seconded
by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-eye;
W. Brenner-aye; Clark-ay®; Owens-ate Young-absent; Swetnam.-aye;
H. Brenner moved that Bill No. D-63-19 being bill providing for the
appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside,
Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed there in be placed,
on its 9~rst reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: H. Brenner-ay®; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-abseni;
Swetnam-aye; Young-absent; and Bill No. D-63-19 w as accordingly read.

W. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-6}19 be
placed on its third reading and upon pass~~ge of same become Ord. No. D-63-19,
seconded by Clark, the roll wascagedc:and Motes were as follows: H. Brenner-ay
W. Brenner-aye; Clara,-aye; Swetnam-aye; Owens-absent and Young-absent;
Bill No. D-63-19 was accordingly read, ap proved by Mayor Filger and became
6rdin~nce No. D-63-19.
H. Brenner moved meeting adjourn, C~ rk seconded said motion, meeting adjourned
