HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-10-01MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri October 1, 1963 ,\ A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside October 1, 1863, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen H. Brenner, Clark, Swetnam and Young were present, W. Brennerabsent andOwens, absent, Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of Regular meeting of September 17 and special meeting of September 21, 1963 were read and accepted. (a].lector's report for month of September, 1963 was read and accepted. Mr. Strawd explained to the council how the swimming pool for Mr. Grove apartment project would be constructed and work, he also gave the dimensions of the pool. Mr. Grove presented the plans for the oxigest system he was to install for the sanitation system. Clark mo$d that the City approve and hire the 12 applicants received as police officers to-wit: Carl Richard Larson, L le D. Mor an 1 Charles E.~est~ 1 in n ar err Allen, Ja s E. Kel~. , r, zvzr~ , seconded by Swetnam, the roll was milled and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; YI. Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Young stated the police department was in need of a camera as they have occasion to take pictures of different accidents, etc. he presented a camera which he thought would cost approximately X110.00 and upon motion by Clark that the City purchase said camera, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as fellows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. Clark mv~ed that the City Purchase the itemse listed in - Director of Pol e $ molds letters of September 26 and October 1, 1963, seconded b~'yt ~ ~~gl was called and votes were as Follows: H.Brenr~- aye; W. Brenner- Clark-eye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye, Young-aye. ~ Swetnam moved that Mr. Booth work on the roads in accorda:¢e with hisletter of recommendation of work be done dated September 17, 1863, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye. H. Brenner maed that a letter be iuritten the Mayor of Kansas City protesting their moving the municipal farm to Platte County, seconded by C]a°k, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye. H. Brenner moved that Bill No. D-63-1g being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the city of Riverside be paid employees and companies listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; bill No. D-63-7.8 was accordingly readi a}¢~agxact ja;¢xDQags]sx~t$glElexa~4at Clark moved that rules be suspended and bill No. D-63-1.8nbe place d on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows:H.Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Owens-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. D-63-1~ was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-63-1g be placed on its third reading and ~zpon passage of same become Ord. No. D-63-1$ seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-a~eent; Clark-aye; Oaens-absent; Sw~Cnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. D-63-1g was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-63-1g; H. Brenner mw'ed meeting adjourn, seconded by Clark, meeting adjourned.
