P'.r. Shaver of Northmoore stated his boy took some mop®y which belonged to his other two sons and went to the carnival, h~ tk.ought it had about ~p100.00 or X110.00. Mr. Shavernwent onsaying the boy g~ yed some of the games throwing the balls and at first he paid 25~ then the man charged him X1.00, but the boy did not know just how much he spent or how much he paid on some of the games. The boy didn~t want to talk about it. Mr. Shaver said he thought the men running the games should have seen the boy was q minbr and he was spsndinQ quite a bit of woney. Young advised that certain merchant in Riverside were given tickets for the carnival and they would be worth so much on the rides; when the people presented these tickets, the persons elling the tickets for the rides would reach underneath the counter and get a different ticket which would make the rides cost the same with or with out the tickets from the merchants which were suppose to reduce the cost.of the rides. Also the fact that when the a~uncil approved the application for a carnival in Eiverside, it was done with the understanding that none of the games would be over 25~, this was in view of the fact that the ones at Liberty were charging over 25¢ and letting the money build up which the council was much against. Young thought it was a poor way for the Shr~.ners to make mono to send crippled children to St. Louis and that the Head of the ~ht~ners should be written a ldcter advising of this situation. W.
