HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-04-24 SpecialMinutes of Special Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Mo. A special meeting was held in the City Rall in Riverside, Missouri on April 21~, 1963 at 8:00 p.m. the roll was called and Aldermen H.Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, Owens, Swetnam were present, Young ebsert~and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Mayor Filger stat'_ng the purpose of the x~~eeti.ng to disnuss the dog situation and pass ordinance regarding same. Also Mr. Cason of the Wayside Waifs was to be pres:.nt to discuss agreement l•;ith them to pick up dogs in Riverside. M r. Cason advised he could not be ~ available until later in the evening, however he could come to the ~ Regualr Meeting on May 7, 1963 and he was advised to be present then. W. Brenner moved that Mr. Ed Bannon be advised that he is to ~ make map of City of Riverside to scale, show all, streets, ~~ b~,ilAinrra wf:a~ for the cost from~750.00 to X1,000.00; that he is ~~ to furnish the city with two maps 5' x 7' and also 25 maps 3' x 5', ~ seconded by C]a rk, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-ale; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent. Clark moved that Bill No. 291A1 1-:eing bill providing for the r:gulabions and license fee for regulating and licening the lie eping of dogs, the owning, keeping or harboring: of dogs within the City and providing a penalty for the violation thereof, be placed oni to first reading, seconded by Swetnarr~, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brerner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-ape; Young-absent and bald Ordinance was accordingly read. W. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 291A1 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent, and Bill No. 291A1 was accordingly read. H.Brenner moved that r~zles be suspended and Bil1No. 291P.1 iae placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 291A1, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-age; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent; and Bill No. 291A1 was accordingly read approved by Mayor Filger and became Ordinance No. 291A1. Ii. Brenner moved that we adopt Riverside's Resolution No. 5, same being opposed to House; Bill P1o. 376 now pending in the 72nd Missouri General Assembly, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-a;e; 'Clark-aye; Owens -s ye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent. H. Brenner moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Clark, meetin;° adjourned. Minutes read and approved as read this d ay of May, 1963.
