Missouri March 19, 1963 A regular meeting of the board of aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the city hill in Riverside on March 19, 1963 at 8:00 p.m, and upon a roll call, alderment H.Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, Owens, Swetnam, and Young were present, Mayor Filger callingsaid meeting to order. Minutes of meeting of March 5, 1963 were read and accdpted as read. Mr. Marsh, representative of Porter Products, Inc. spoke with. regard to a new product on the market to repair holes in black top '- roads, all have to do is shovel mix in the hole. Cost $129.75 per drum of 55 gal. Mr. Shelly spoke expressing his appreciation for the handling of the water tower matter. Mr. Dorsey stated that he understood if the city would like to have highways 69 and 71 have a macadam material placed on the shoulders all that is necessary is for the City to request same - from the Highway Department and upon motion by H. Brenner that Mr. Dorsey write the Highway Department requesting that the shoulders of Highways 69 and 71 have a macadam material be placed thereoon seconded by Clark, the roll was called and all voted in favor. W. Brenner moved taverns and restaurants that said businesses wi a license fee of $50.00 be $100.00, seconded by in favor. that ordinance be drawn up to charge a license fee on the basis of square footage, th square footage up to 3,000 sq. ft. have and all over 3,Oo0sq. ft. the license fee Clark, the roll was called and all voted Clark moved that the police committee investigate the cost of policemen uniforms and that they be given permission to purchase what they seem necessary, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and all voted in favor. W. Brenner moved that a notice be put in paper with regard to the City anticipating the picking up of dogs in approximately two weeks, seconded by Owens, the roll was called and all voted in favor. Eli Truesdale presented application for serving liquor by the drink and also restaurant license application, the restaurant license application was approved. Clark moved that Mr. Dorsey's bill of March 19, 1863 be placed with other bills for payment, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follas: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owans-aye; Swetnam-no; Young passed. H. Brenner moved that Bill No. 63-6 being bill providing for the appropriation of money o.~ of the general fund of the city of Rivexiide for the payment of certain indebtednesses as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by W.Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye, Bill No. D-63-6 was accordingly read. Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-63-6 be placed on its second reading and seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W~Brenner-aye; Clark-ale; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. D-63-6 was accordingly read. .. Meeting Page 2 - March 19~ 1963 Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-63-6 be placed on its third readinag and upon passage of same become Bill No. D-63-Q, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-a~ae; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. D-63-6 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-63-6. H.Brenner moved that Bill No.33J ~ being bill providing that the City General Election be held Tuesday, April 2, 1963 and that the purpose of the election was to elect an alderman from each of the three wards and selection of the fudges of election, seconded by Owens, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Breener-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-ale Owens-aye; S etnam-aye; Yonng-aye; Bill No.3 33~ was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules be sspended and Bill No. 25S-R-~-be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 25'~-R-2, seconded by H.Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W-Brenneraye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye Young-aye; and Bill No. 2~-R~.was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord .
