HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-02-05Minutes of Regular Meeting of Beard of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Mo. February 5, 1863 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside on February 5, 1963 at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen H.Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, and Owens were present, Swetnam absent and Acting Mayor Young calling the meeting to order. Minutes of regular meeting of January 15, 1963 were read and accepted. Collector's report for month of January, 1963 was read and accepted. Mr. Renner stated the problem of the Transport Trucks pa parking on St. Mathews' parking lot and blocking the entrances the~to. He asked if the City could help eliminate this problem and then was advised by the council it would write a letter to the State Highway Department and ask 3t to erect signs stating no parking at any time, also advising the Highway Department of the problem, upon motion by H. Brenner that the Missouri State Highway Department be written a letter asking it to erect proper signs and any other suggestions it may have to eliminate this probelm, seconded by W.Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-absent; and Y~g~ag~t'.4 Applicatim of Harry Nigro for selling package liquor was approved subject to the approval of the State, and motion made to that effect by W. W. Brenner moved that Bill's Meat Market's Application be approved subject to the building extension be on a temporary basis and that it be also subject to being torn down at any time if not satisfactory, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were _ as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-a3~e-.o~G.,.y ~L....g~~ H.Brenner moved that applicatirn of Skelly 011 Company, Skelgas Division Sales Office for business license be approved sub, ct to building a slab of cement to place the bottles of gas on be approved, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brennenaye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-a~e~nt; Young -ale ; ~y It was sgggested that Mr. Dorsey be contacted with. regard to rewriting the license ordinance making it on 1/3 yearly basis, 2/3 yearly basis arl $00~ or full year, except the recreation license and liquor license, this to effect only new business or new business applicants, and change the service stations to January 1. H.Brenner moved that permission be given road committe _ for 3 loads of rock on Mattox road and 2 loads on Sunset Drive, also the roads be bladed if needed, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-absent; and Young-awe. oyC„~ ..., Minutes of Reg. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-~,,, Bill No. ~-63-3 was according l~! read . ~e~ H.Brenner- moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-63-3 be placed on its second reading, seconded by W. Brenner, the Poll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young ~ and Bill No. D-63-3 was accordingly read. ~.. Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-63-3 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-63-3, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows, COlark-aye; H.Brenner-dye; W.
