Minutes of regular meeting of August 21, 1962 and special meeting of August 27, 1962, were read and accepted as read. Mr. Bush inquired again with regard to his applying for liquor license. Mr. Thomas Scott of Phoenix Mutual insurance stated two men on the police force had dividends accumulated on their policies and it would be necessarq for the council to approve and sign an authority giving the In^urance company permission to apply the dividends to their policies (Hitches and Paris) and upon motion by H. Brenner that the dividends on Hitches and Paris policies be applied to the premium reducing same and seconded by Clark, the roll was called and all voted in favor. Mr. Schetzsle presented drawing they had regarding their proposed installation of water to~+er, he stated the papers or draw_~ng with the markings did not reach him through the mail and he had to go after this particular drawing. They proposed to install the tank in the center of the property to ~e rezoned. They were quite certain of stand pipe tank with a capacity of one million gallons, one hundred four feet tall and approximately 50 ft. circumference. If it was an elevated tank, it would have a capacity of 250,000 gallons. Young stated this was information he had ref erea;e to Ind would talk to the engineer about same. Mr. Moore, attorney for water company presented letter from Federal Aviation Agency written by Eldon C. Kamp aiai[a~t to the Missouri Cities Waters and dated December 6, 161 stating the construction of the tank would not interfere with air line pa'terns and this would remain the same for 18 months, however it was for a 135 ft. tower. Mr. Moore st-~ted it would be well if the Water Company had a definite answ r by next meeting. Mr. Swetnam expressed his appreciation for closing the taverns on Surd ay, and Mt. Shelly agreed with him. H. Brenner moved that the 3.2~ beer license now in effect and which are operating establishments selling same have until 1st of November, 1862 to make up their minds whether they will go to selling liquor by the dank or other type and they shall be closed on Sundays, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and all voted in favor. Owens moved that the liquor forms presented to the council be approved, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and all voted in favor. S~-etnam advised the cost of the culvert which is to be :installed at Highdrive and South Road, but this matter was to be supervised by the City Engineer and according to M s recommendation. H. Brenner moved that Bill No. D-bc~17 being bill fr oviding for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside to pay certain indebtedness as listed thetain be placed on its first reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was ea]_led and votes warm as follows:g.$renner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-sye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-6?-17 was accordingly read.
