HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-08-07MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri, August 7, 1962, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen W. Brenner; Clark, Owens, Swetnam, and Young were present, H. Brenner absent a~ld Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of regular meeting of July 17, 1862 were read and accepted as read. Treasurer's report for month of June, 1862 was read and accepted as read. Collector's report Er month of July was read aa] accepted as read . W. Brenner moved that Bill No. 206-4 being bill authorizing and ~~ directing the Mayor arc City Clerk to execute a c~ntraet for street be~~a e~eonsits first reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-absent; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 206-4 was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 206-4 be placed on its second reading and seconded by W.Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-absent; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 206-4 was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules be suspended and bill No. 206-4 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 206-4, seconded by W.Brenner--the roll was called and votes were as follows: H-Brenner -absent; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-ayel Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. 206-4 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 206-4. Clark moved that the building applications of Lloyd Land Company and Clyde Smith be approved, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-absent; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. _ Swetnam moved that Bill No. 25381, being Bill amending Section 5 of Ordinance Nom 253 and providing tho terms of fee for the regulations governing garage busine sses, seconded by Clair, the roll was called and votes w~eas follows: H.Brenner- absent; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 25381 was accordingly read. rules be suspended and W.Brenner mood that/Bill No. 25381 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Owens, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner- absent; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 25381 was accordingly read. Clark maed that rules be suspended and Bill No. 25381 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 25381, seconded by W.Brenner, the roll was called aad votes were as follows: H.Brenner-absent W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 25381 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 25381. W. Brenner moved that Bill No. D-62-15 being bill providing for the appropriation of money o~@t of the general fund of the City of Riverside Missouri for the amounts set out in same to the companies, firms, and empolyees listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-absent; W.Brenner- aye; Clark-ale; Owens-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-62-15 was accordingly read. Owens moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-62-15 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll wad called and votes Minutes of Special Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Mo. August 6, 1962 A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside Missouri was held in the City Hall In Riverside, Missouri on August 6, 1962, a t 7:OO.p.m. and upon a Roll Call Aldermen H. Brenner, W.
