on REzoning Certain Property
in the 7-Oaks Addition.
A meeting was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri
at 7:30 P.M. with. regard to the rezoning o~ certain property
as follows:
All of the South 1g~.4 feet of the
feet of that part of the Northeast
Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Section 5, Township 50, Range 33,
Missouri, lying East of the center
road, containing 1.46 acres.
North 330
Quarter of the
Quarter of
Platte County,
of Canty
The above property was requested to be resoned by John W.
and Bessie Brenner and Missouri Cities Water Company from the
district A which it is at present to District C-1 for district
allowing only Water tanks or towers.
Mr: Danatta was the spokesman for the residents surrounding
the property requested for rezoning and protested it vigorously
stating that it would reduce the valuation of their property
and it would not improve the looks of same; That all the
people felt it should be placed at another area where the
residential area had not been developed. Mr. Darratta also stated
they were s~~isfied with. the water service. they now had.
Mr. Moore attorney for the Missouri Cities Water Company
stated it was necessary that the tank be placed someplace in this
area of the County so as to provide other areas with sufficient
water supply.
Mr. Brown of the Water Company stated the* had two locations
chosen, one in Indian H~ls, but the CAA would not a~.o w it there
and 7-Oaks Addition was the other place. He also stated if it were
placed in areas where no residents, the cost would be prohibited,
he stated the cost would be 1/3 more for a tank type of water tower
over the stand pipe type. Also as far as the overflow,it would follow
the natural drainage.
Mayor Filger stated the matter would be taken under advisement
and studied further and could possibly get an answer to the people
and Water Company by nextneeting.
