April 7, 1962 A species meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the city hall in Riverside, Missouri on April 7, 1962 at 2:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen H.Brenner; W.Brenner~ Clark, Owens, Swetnam, and Young were present, Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Mayor Filger stated the reason for the special meeting was to come to some understanding where the road in the Graystone Project would be. Mr. Wilson stated h.e represented the people living in the apartment project and that he was willing to build a Poad all along 'she west part of his property line, a road up to City's specifications with 50 ' right of way and then along the north. line a 25' rc~ghttof way to where the east building is and then he would give as much right of aa~ as was there. He stated he would try to acquire the right of gay on the east property line and h.e would give as much. as he could from his property. He would pave all the roads on all three sides with curbing and up to City's specifications. He explainj~ed he and the people living in the apartments thought it was quite dangerous to have a thoro;~~,1._dare through the project as the playground and swimming pool were in the middle. He stated he has the money in escrow forthe road. Wilson expressed his opinion that he had approximately 23.6' on th.e east side of his property and if he could get th.e remaining property on the east he would pave the street and curb it. Mayor Filger appointed aldermen Clark and Young to talk to Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Renner regarding their property which. would be needed for Mr. Wilson to construct proper road on east of his project. Mr. Wilson promised he was going to enclose a place in the middle of his project for th.e people to hang their clothes, h.e expressed his opinion it would be a wooden fence, but the council advised it should be of more permanent material. W. Brenner stated he would be satisfied if this road was put: .in as Mr. Wilson stated, provided it was done in a short time. Mr. Wilson was requested to stop any building on the last building or the northeast most building until the road was under construction and all of the road matter settled, he promised to stop any building on this building. It was agreed by th.e council and MaSm if the proper amount of property could be gotten from Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Renner and Mr. Wilson constructs th.e roads as he advised, it would be satisfactory to the city. It was suggested to Mr. Wilson that he contact our acting City Engineer immediately for the construction of his roads and Instruct according to his recommendation. It was suggested Mr. Dorsey investigate the matter whether Mr. Wilson has sufficient money in escrow for th.e roads. H.Brenner moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Clark, meeting adjourned. ~~~r ~,:~
