City of Riverside,
Missouri
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of
Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri
on March 6, 1962, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen
H.Brenner; W.Brenner; Clark, Nelson, Swetnam, were present Young
absent and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of meeting of February 20, 1962 were read and
accepted as read. Treasurer's report for monthsof January and
February, 1962 were read and accepted as read. Collector's report
for month of Febuua~y, 1962 was read and accepted as read.
It was reported the gas company would move its gas line
from where it comes from Vivian Road and then on High Drive Road,
but the city was asked to move more dirt from th.e south. side of
said High Drive and this would be done.
Mr. Breen commented that he applied.. for building
permit several months ~o for apartments to be wilt some distance
north. of Highdrive on the road to be built by Bill Wilson who
is constructing the apartment project of Graystone Apartments.
It was decided Mr. Breen would talk to Attorney Dorsey to see what
could be worked out and.then it would be reported to the council.
It was requested that Mr; Dorsey be consulted with
regard to whether the City would have to have an ordinance covering
the point system for violations of traffic laws, or would the
State of Missouri point system be sufficient. If an ordinance
is necessary, Mr. Dorsey is requested to draw up such ordinance.
It was also requested that Mr. Dorsey be reminded of the other
ordinances requested at previous meetings.
Swetnam moved that Bill No. D-62-5 being bill providing
for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the city
for.th.e payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be
placed on its first reading, seconded by H.Brenner, the roll was
called and votes ve^e as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye;
Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent, and Bill No. D-62-5
was accordingly read.
Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-62-5
be placed on its second reading, seconded by W.Brenner, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye;
Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent.
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-62-5
be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become
ordinance No. D-62-5, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brennera-ye; Clark-aye;
Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent; Bill No. D-62-5 was accordingly
read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ordinance No. D-62-5.
H.Brenner moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Nelson,
meeting adjourned.
