Minutes of Regular Meeting
of Board of Aldemen
Riverside, Missouri
February 6, 1962
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
Missouri ~~as held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri, February
6, 1962, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen $. Brenner,
Clark; Nelson, Swetnam, and Young were present, W. Brenner, Absent
and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of January 16, 1962 were read and accepted as read.
A discussion was had with reg:~rd to employing a building inspector.
Young moved that the City request its attorney to prepare an
ordinance to reduce the city auto license to .50 and refund the
difference to the people who have already purchased the 1962
license, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were
as folloHt s: H. Brenner-abstained; W. Brenner-absent; C]a rk-fires;
Nelson-yes; Swetnam-no; and Young-yes.
_ Young moved that a sign be painted or printed e~cplaining to the
people out to contact the police department or a policeman when
there is no one at the City Hall, where to obtain a building permit,
etc. and the police committee can show what can be put on the
sib, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: H-F3renner-aye; t~J.Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye;
Swetnam-a_ye; and Young-aye.
R'I~-~~rshall Davis requested an ordinance be drawn up with regard to
prosecuting people writting illeg~~l checks, Upon motion by Clark
that the City request Mr. Dorsey to prepare such m dinance it was
seconded by H.Brenner and the votes ~-,ere as follows: H-Brenner-aye;
`r~. Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
Clark moved that John Scott building application be approved,
seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows:

its first reading, seconded by C]ark, the roll was called and

Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. D-62-3 was accordingly

on its second reading, secorried by Nelson, the roll was calledand

Nelson moved that rules be suspended }-:nd Bill No. D-62-3 be placedon
its third reading and upon passage of same beccune Ord. No. D-62-3, seconded
by H.Brenner-the roll was called and votes were as folly s: H. Brenner-aye;

Rill No. D-62-3 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and
became Ord. No. D-62-3.
