A x~ular meetin g of the Board of Aldermen of City
of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside
on January 16, 1g62, and upon a roll call, aldermen H. Brenner, Glark,
Nelson, Swetnam were present and W. Brenner and Young Absent; Mayor
Filger calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of meetings of December lg, 1g61 and
January 2, were read and accepted as read.
Treasurerr~s report for month. of December, 1g61
was read a.nd accepted. Collector's report for month. of December 1g61
was read. a.nd accepted.
Swetnam moved the road committee be given permission
in emergency to contract snow removal and placing of cinders on the
roads in Riverside, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called a.nd
votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-absent; Clark-aye;
Nelson-aye; Swetnampaye; and Young-absent.
Ann's Tavern application for 5/ beer and liquor by
the drink was tabled.
Nelson moved that A, E. Perrine be given permission
to sell 'che red light for police car for $15.00, seconded by H. Brenner,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: H-Brenner-aye;
W. Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; a.nd Young-
absent.
H. Brenner moved that W. Wh.eeler's application for
auxilary policeman be approved and that he be hired as same,
seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
H,Brenner-aye; W. Brenneraabsent; Clark-aye; Nelson-a.ye; Swetnam-a.ye;
and Young-absent.
Nelson moved that bill No. •D-62-2 being bill providing
for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of
Riverside be placed on its first reading, seconded by H. Brenner, the
roll was called and votes were as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-absent;
Clark-a.ye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent and Bill No, D-62-2
was accordingly read.
Clark moved that rules be suspended a.nd Bill No. D-62-2
be placed on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was
called and votes wee as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-a~s~nt;
Clark-a.ye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent; and Bill No. D-62-2
was accordingly read.
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-62-2
be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become
Ord. No. D-62-2, seconded by H. Brennerl~ the roll was called and votes
were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-ak~sent; Clark-aye; Nelson-a.ye;
Swetnam-aye; Young-absent; Bill No. D-62-2 was accordingly read,
approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-62-2.
Nelson moved meeting adjourn „seconded by Clark,
meeting adjourned.
