HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-01-02Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of Aldermen City of Riverside, Missouri January 2, 1862 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on January 2, 1962, and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, H. Brenner, W. Brenner, Nelson, Swetnam were present, Young absent and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of meetings of December 5 and 19, 1961 were read and accepted as read. accepted. Collector's report for month of December, 1961 read and An inquiry of when the City was going to get water in the City Hall Building was made and Mayor Filger advised the water company was wanting a:tt franchise. Swetnam had map or plat of Northwood Acres and he was advised to have copy made for the City, only larger than the one he had . Clark maed the City purchase map of City, approximately 4~ x 6~ with frame and glass, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent. Nelson moved that advise the service station where the City purchases the gas for the police car and other items for the car, that the station put the mileage on the ticket and if the gas is put in other than the City~s car, that the ticket show the name of the owner of the car and discription thereof and all tickets should have signature of th.e person obtaining the gas, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; H.Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Swetnam-aye; Nelson-aye; and Young-ab sent. Nelson moved that the City purchase the two-way radio for the police department from Warren Brenner for the sum of $60.00, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent. Nelson mood that the building permits of Mid-Continental Cons. Co. and American Merriatta Company be approved and accepted, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes wee as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent. Nelson moved that Bill Nol D-62-1 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of th.e City of Riverside, Missouri for th.e payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by H.Brenner, the roll was called a.nd votes were as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent; and Bill No. D-62-1 was accordingly read. rules be suspended Clark moved that/Bill No. D-62-1 be placed m its second reading, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent; and Bill No. D-62-1 was accordingly read. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-62-1 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-6291, seconded by W.Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W-Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Clark-ale; Swetnam-aye; Young-agent., Bill No. D-62-1 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord.
