A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of
Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Ha11 in Riverside, Missouri
at 8:00 p.m. December 5, 1961, and upon a roll call, aldermen
H. Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, Nelson,Swetnam, and Young were
present.
Minutes of meeting of November 21, 1961 were read and
accepted as read. Collector's report for month of November, 1961
was read and accepted.
Judge Swetnam advised the council there were two appeals
pending in the circuit court at Platte City.
Clark reported Mr. Nelms promised to fix the Norwood Road,
was coming out Sunday and bringing engineer to see about widening
Norwood Road, and wondered what we thought about oiling the road.
Mr. Booth. patched two or three places on the black top at no
charge.
Nelson reported Booth would ditch the road in front
of Searcy's buildings in Northwood Acres for the sum of $11.00.
It was decided to use galvanized tubing for the culvert
on Highdrive and 69 Highway.
Nelson moved that the City have Mr. Barth. grade a ditch
along the north. side of Searcy's Property in Northwood acres,
five feet from Searcy's property line,- seconded by H. Brenner,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye;
W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye.
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No.D-22-61
being bill providing for the appropriation of funds otdt of the general
fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain
indebtedness as Tilted therein be placed on its first reading,
seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; and Bill No. D-22b1 was accordingly read.
Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-22-61
be placed on its second reading,aedor~ele® by H.Brenner, the roll was
called and votes were as follows:H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye;
Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-22-61 be
placed on itsthird reading and upon passage of same become Ordinance
No. D-22-61, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as
follows:H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. D-22-61 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor
Filger and became Ord. No. D-22-61.
Nelson moved meeting adjourn, seconded by C]a?k, meeting
ad ,~ourned .
