HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-11-21Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, on November 21, 1961, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen H. Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, Nelson and Young were present, Swetnam absent and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of regular meeting of November 7, 1961 were read and accepted as read. Treasurer's report for month of October was read and accepted. Clark reported that Valley Road needed two loads of rock and VanDepopulier Road needs three loads of rock costing 88:00; also the roads need blading, but this work cannot be done until it dries, the blading to cost not exceeding $110.00. Nelson moved that the five loads of gravel be put on the roads and that the ditches be cleaned out and also the culverts, seconded by Clark, the roil was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-absent and Young-aye; Clark moved that the residential building permits be than ed to $20.00 per unit,(single family dwellings)being one unit; that business buildings be $2.00 per thousand with minimum of $25.00 and maximum of $500.00, that said be Bill No. 26A4 and be phced on its first reading, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-a e; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye; and Bill No. 26A4 was accordingly read . Clark moved that rules be su~ended and Bill No. 26A4 be placed on its second reading, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Clark-aye; Swetnam-absent; young-aye; and Bill No. 26A4 was accordingly read. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 26A4 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of~ame become Ord. No.26A4, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows - H. Brenner aye; W. Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Clark-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye; Bill No. 26A4, was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 26A4. Clark moved that Bill No. 253A4 being bill providing for serv c station license fee be $75.00; manufacturing concerns using ari~'~1of 5000 sq. g under license fee be 75.00• those having above 5000 sq, ft, an~I~,000 sq. ft. license fee be 150.00; those having over 10,000 sq. ft. be $300.00 and that this be placed on its first reading, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye; and Bill No. 253A4, was accox~i.ngly read. Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 253A4 be placed on its second reading, seconded by H. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 253A4, be - placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No.253A4, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Sw~nam-absent; Young-aye; Bill No. 253A4 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 253A4. H. Bremer moved that culverts be installed at High. Drive Road and 6 Highway, seconded by Clark, th.e roll w~~ c~lled a~d votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; ar -aye; elson-aye; Regular Meeting - Board of Aldermen, Ci~t of Riverside, Nov. 21, 1861 Page 2 Swetnam-absent; and Young-aye; Young moved that Bill No. D-21-61 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H.Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-21-61 was accordingly read. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-21-61 be placed on its second reading, seconded by H. Brenner, the foll was called and votes were as follows: H-Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-21-61 was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules be sspended and Bill No. D-21-61 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-21-61, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brennera-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye; Bill No. D-21-61 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-21-61. W. Brenner moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Nelson, meeting adjourned. Minutes read and approved as read this 5th day of December, 1861. ~~ ~~
