A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on
June ?_~, 1961, and upon a roll call, Aldermen H. Brenner, W. Brenner,
Clerk, and Nelson were present, Swetnam and. Young Absent and Nlayor
Filger ca-:i.inJ said meeting to order.
Minutes of regular meeting of June 6, were read and that
portion with regard to Seven Oaks Additi:,n was corrected to read
'after all of the lots are sold and it could put it the cur%,s and
streets" inste^d of "after a !most all lots are so7_d."
A represHr.tative of the Phoenix j''Iutual Life insur-rcc~ Company
stated he had the policies rc^dy for ti~a pc:1i_cemen, but each had to
s;_gn a cer.tifice ona ccount of the policies being double 9_nden!nity,
and then <~fter the check was received for the remainder of the quarter,
he would lease the 1~licies with Nlayor Fi1~;er. I3e also lift data state
amount due each quarter.
James Rudman inquired regarding city license for Childreni:s
1'~;urery, he stated the state does not or is not involved in a Nursery
unless there are ten children or more involved. He stated sometimes
he has that many and sometimes, more, but at the beginn3_ng, there
were rot enough children involved to have the s'.ate approve same.
Per. Dudman's license was a roved subject to the State wealth
Department'sa pproval of sr:me.
Young and Swetnam present this portion of meeting.

Clark read letter from Booth Asphalt Paving Co. regarding
curbi_nE; of ro^d in Indian :`ills, which stated i_n part he would
curb said road with 2' curbing for $k1.70 per lineal foot for atotal
of X490.10 for the 293 feet; thereafter when this work is cmpleted,
he will give a bid on the ~Zatching of the road, said curbing was
in accordance with City's speci.ficiations. Nelson advised that
he thought the special road district was ~.radirg some of the roads
in Riverside and thought perhaps there were no charges for same.
Nelson moved that the residential building application of
IUIr. McFarland be approved and Remodeling application of Nir. Bowling
be a:;proved, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and all voted
in favor.
Mayor Filger reported the telephone company inquired with
regard to the trees across from City Hall, whether they should be
trimmed or cut down, the council was in accord to have the trees
cut down. by the Telephone Company and removed.
Nelson moved that Booth Asphalt Paving Company's bid for putting
in curbs in Indian i?ills be acceptred that is 293 ft. of cursing at
`~1.?0 per lineal foot for a total of !}90.10 subject to agreement
of financing by the property owners by securing note under Mr. Dorsey's
supervision, said property owners involved who secure 3oan are to pay
straight in!-e rest at 6%, seconded by Warren I'renner, the roll was
called and said motion passed.

H. Brenner moved that Bill No. D-61-~1 being bill providing
for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City
of Riverside for the Payment of certain debts to employees and
creditors be placed on its fist reading, seconded by Clark, the
roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-a,ye• W. Brenner-
aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and i~l No. D-61-11

Cl~:rk moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-61-11 be
placed on its second reading, seconded by H. Brenner, the rollwas
called and votes were as follo~Ns: Clark-a,ye; ~~. Brenner-aye;
W-Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; young-aye; and Bill No.
D-61-_ll was accordingly read,
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-61-11 be
placed on. its third reading and upon passage of s;;me become
Ord. No. D-61-11, seconded by Clark, the roll i•~as called and votes
were as follows: H B~ennefi-ale, W-Brenner-aye; Clark-ale;
Nelson-aye; Swetnam~eye; and Young-aye. Bill No. D-61-11 w as
accordingly read approved by Mayor Fi.lger and became Ord. No. D-61-11.
