HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-04-18Minutes of Regular Meeting of Borad of Alderman City of Riverside, °' Missouri April 18, 1961 A regular meeting of the board of aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the city hall in Riverside, Missouri, April 18, 1964, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen H. Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, Nelson, Swetnam and Young, were present, Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of Regular meeting of April 4 and minutes of special meeting of April 14, 1861 were read and accepted as read. Young moved that the city purchase insurance of $5,000 Life and the.d5uble indemnity provision on the ten year term on all active policemen'in the City of Riverside, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Clark-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Young moved that the City pay all auxilary policemen th.e sum of $1.00 per month, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; H. Brenner-aye; W Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye. Nelson moved that the city have the Special Road District to blade all the gravel roads in the City, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-a,ye; Young-aye. Nelson moved that Cecon Construction Company's application for building of service station be approved subject to said company obtaining approval from the County Sanitarian and that McKeon's remodeling of business building application be accepted, seconded by Clark, the roll was celled and votes were as follows: H. Brenner; W. Brenner; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-nay; Young-aye. l~ri:'~3aorge Pease presented his problem of roads to be constructed in Seven Oaks Addition and adked the city if they could assist him in any, as it was his understanding the City would not approve the building of any houses unless the roads were built according to the City's specificiation, and the only idea that was brought up as possi 1 ty,~?a_~s~ to have each person who built a house to p00.00~n~~~ien when all the lots on the streets were built on, the money would be taken and a road would be built, however, no definite understanding had been reached. Nelson moved that Bill No. D-61-8 being bill providing for th.e appropriation of money out of the General Fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein to employees and creditors be pladed on its first reading, seconded by H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brennertaye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam aye; Yong-aye; Bill No. D-61-8 was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-61-8 be_ placed on its second reading, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: HsBr~nner-aye; W.Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-61-8 was accordingly read. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-61-8 be placed on its third reading and upon passageof same become Ord. No. D-61-8, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was moiled and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-+aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. D-61-8 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-61-8. adjourned.
