A special meeting of the Bo^rd of aldermen has held April ].LF, 1961.
Those present were F.ldermen H. Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, Nelson, Swetnam
and Young; Mayor Fil.ger calling said special meeting to order.
Mayor €3_lger stating the purpose of such special meeting was
to discuss the problems of the police department and to employ assistant
Chief of Police.
Motion by II. Brenner to start Asst. Chief of Police at a
salary of 375.00 per month, and at the end.~of 90 days, if satisfactory,
a ;'25.00 per month raise, making the salary !}00.00 per month and raise
second man salary to X375.00 per month, seconded by W. Brenner, the
roll was called and votes were as follf~ws: H. Brenner- aye; W. Brenner-aye;
Clark-aye; Nelson-aye; Svretnam~aye; and Young-aye.
Clark moved that Bill No. 199-3 being bill ratifying the employment o:
Arthur Perrine as Asst. Chief of Police, authorizing the payment of a
salary for said policeman and his cont9.nued employment, seconded by
Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-age;
W. Brenne~aaye; Clark-aye; T~elson-aye; Swetnam±~aye; Young-aye; and
Bi1.1 No. 199-3 was accordingly read.
nelson moved that rules be suspended and ,Bill No. 199-3 be
placed on its second reading, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll wss
called and votes wire as follows: Clark-a,ye; H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye
N'e]_son-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 199-3 ~^ras accordingly
read.
Clark moved that r~.zles be suspended ana Bill No. 199-:~ be'_.p~aced
nn its third r~~ ding and upon passaPe of same become Ord. No. 199-x,
seconded by Plelson, the roll was called and votes were as f ollows:H.Brenaer-
~; e; ~~et•.:Yd; Benner-aye; Clark-aye; Swetnam-aye; Nelson-aye; and Young-aye;
Bill No. 199-~ was accordingly read, approved by r^:ayor I''ilger and
became Ord. No. 199-3.
Young moved that Bill No. 199 being bill providing for the
s=lacy of P:~lice Officer Robert Clarks salary be ~p375.00 permonth
effective April 15, 1961, seconded by Clark, the roll ~•~as called and
votes were as follows: gf~cl?~.renner-aye; Idr. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye;
Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-a,ye; and B; 11 No. 1~-9-1-I. was accordingly
read.
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill A?o. 199-La- be
placed on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was card
and votes were ~'s follows: B~ Brenner-a~Te; W. Brenner-a.ye; Clark-aye;
Dielson-aye; Stiaetnarr:-aye; and Young-aye; Bi_11 No. 1`9-4 was accordingly
