HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-03-07Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of A7_dermen of City of Riverside, Missouri March 7, 1961 A regular meeting of the board of al~ermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the city Hall in Riverside, Missouri March 7, 1961 at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Klamm, Nelson, I~metnam, Young were present, McKeon, absent and g'Ia,yor Fi.lger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of regular meeting of February 21, 1961 were read and accepted as read. Treasurer's report for month of January read and accepted as read. Collectors report for month of February, 1961 read anda ccepted as read. Mr. Undereood inquired regarding putting rock on the road to hisplace of business in the bottoms, just east of the highway to Fairfax Bridge, he was advised the matter would be looked into. Swetnam moved that Mr. Richard H. N~ixon's business bui~ing application be approved, seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and votes w::re as follows: Clark-a:;e; Nelso~r-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-absent Klarom-aye; and Young-aye; Clark reported on the roads as follows: Norwood road needs bleeding and holes patched; Sunset Drive needs approximately 8 loads of gravel; Valley Drive needs two loads of gravel; Van DePopalier road neap approximately 4 loads gravel. SIDUth Road 3 Roads gravel, Karen roa,c needs ble~:ding. Klemm moved that the Road Committee's recomn-endation for gravel and patching of the roads bee ccepted when the weather permits the work should bed:~ne, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-absent; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. Klemm moved that rules be s?zspended and Bill No. D-,~1-5 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the {~;eneml fund of the City of Riverside treasury for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed t'nere in be placed on'its first reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: 'Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; Mcrieon-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and bill No. D-61-5 was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules besuspended and bill No. D-61-5 be placed :nits second r~adng, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klarr;rri-aye; Nelson-aye; T~:cKeon-absent; Swetnam-aye; Yo}}ng-aye; and Bill No. D-61-5 was accordingly read. Klarnm moved that axles be susgeded and Bill No. D-~i~-5 be placed on its third reading and ux~on passage of same become Ord. D?o. D-61-5, seconded by Swetna~~, the roll was called and votes were as follows: C7~k-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-absent; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. D-61-5 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ordl No. D-61-5. I4r. Wilson presented applic.~rion i'or apartment buildings, but it was requested that the sewage problem be worked out before approving said applicatim. American Mari®tta also had planes but same w:re not approved until the sewage system is approved by Mr. Charles. Klemm moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Swetnam, meeting adjourned.
