A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
Nassouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on
Februa?y 7, 1961, at 5:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen
Clark, Klamm, Nelson, Swetnam Present, McKeon, absent and
Young calling meeting to order as t~cting Mayor.
Minutes of Regular meeting of Jan uary 17, 1961 were read
and the addition that Marshall Davis was to report on the Trailer
Parks in the City, the minutes were approved as read.
Treasurer's report formonths of December and January, 1960 and
1961 respectively tirere read and accepted as read. Collector's
report for January, 1961 was read and accepted as read.
Klarr~n rr,oved that ter. Fred 0. SheffieldTS Bugness Building
remodeling permit be accepted; Edmund S. May, Residential Bldg.
permit subject to approval of County Sanitarian, be approved;
Emery Brenner~s Residential Buiding Permit subject to road meeting
City Specifications by August 1, 1961, be approved and Skyline,
Inc. Business Remodeling permit subject to app roval of by County
San~,tariam be approved, seconded by Swetnam, the roll wascalled and
votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye;
McKeon-absent and Young; a sting as Mayor.
Klan;ra moved that Bill No. 21}6-1 be placed on its first read9_ng,
said bill being the acception of Ernery Brenner~s Platt "Plantation"
covering certain propertS.es as described thereon, seconded by
Clark, the roll was c^l led and votes wa~e as follows: Clark-aye;
Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnarr!-aye; ricKeon-absent; and k~ou_ng acting
as Pfayor, said bill was a ccordingly read.
Clerk moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 2Yp6-1 be
placed on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll wes
ca7_led and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-afire; Nelson-aye;
Swd;nam-aye; McKeon-absent; and Young acting as Mayor, said bill was

Kla.mra moved that rules be s uspended and Bill No. 21}6-1 be
placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become
Ordl ATO. 246-1, seconded by I~'elson, the roll wasc ailed and votes
were es follows: Clerk-aye; Klamm-aye; IeTelson-aye; Swetnam-aye;
r"cKeon-absent and xo?~ng acting as Mayor. Bill No. 246-1 was accordingly
read, approved by Acting Ma~Tor Young and became Ordinance No. 246-1.
Klamm moved that Bill No. 34a~ being bill amending Sec. 3 of
Grdinance No. 34 of the City of Riverside, by a riding to paragraph
B thereof a tract of land therein described which heretofore has
been zoned in District A be pl^eed on its first reading, seconded by
Clark, the ro]_1 was cal]ced and votes were as follows: Clark-a~se;
Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnarr,-aye; McKeon-absent; and Young acting
as N°.ayor, Bi'1 No. 34A$ was accordingly read.
Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 34A~ be
placed on its seconded reading, seconded by Clark, the Roll was called
and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye;
Swetnare-aye; T%:cYieon-absent; Young acting as Mayor an8 Bill No. 34A~
was accordingly read.
Nelson moved that rules be sus;~ended and Bill No. 34A~be
placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No.
34A$', seconded by 'Clark, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: Clark-aye; Klan;m-aye; Nelson aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-absent;
Young acting as Mayor; Bill No. 34A$ was accordingly read, approved
by Acting T`ia~ r Young and became Ordinance IV'o. 34A$.
Klamm moved that Bill No. 34A4 being Bill amending Sec. 3 of
Ordinance ATO. 34 of the City of Riverside by adding to Paragraph D
thereof a tradt of land the rein described which heretofore has been
i~aa w ned in District A~ be placed on its first reading, seconded by
Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as fol]_ows: Clark-aye;
Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-absent; Youngs cting as
Mayor and Bill No. 34A4 ~.aas accordingly read.

read, approved by Acting May or Yo}~ng and became Ord. No. 3!.}A4.
Klamm moved th•-t Bill No. D-61-3 being bill providing for
the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the city's
treasure for the payment of certain indebtedness to employees a"nd
creditors as 7_isted therein be placed on its first reading,
seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-a,ye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam aye; rlcKeon-absent and
Young acting as Mayor; Bill No. D-61-3 was accordingly read.
Klammmoved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-61-3
be placed on its second reading,seconded by Clark, the roll was
tailed and votes were as follows: Clerk-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson,-aye;
Swetnam-a,;e; Young acting as PSayor and Bill No. D-61-3 was accordingly
read.
Nelson moved that rules be, suspended and B;.11 No. D-61-3 be
placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord.
No. D-E:l-3, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-sye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-absent;
Young acting as riayor; Bill No. D-61-3 was accordingly read, approved
by i4[eting N~ayor Young and became Ord. No. D-61-3.
Maa°s'riall Davis reported on inspecting The Green's Trailer
Park and advised sole of the trailers were moved down the hill;
some of the trash removed; they still did not have a wash house;
nor lights or public rest rooms, and that all was done to the
place is it was just cleaned up; as to Prinee Trailer Park,
trash barrels wFre placed, the sewer was fixed, no washhhouse,
nor rest rooms. Tt was suE;ge>ted that they be made to come
up to the ordinances pecifications and it af~peared the only way was
to issue them, summons advising they were in violation, of certain
count of the trailer park ordinance.
Klamm moved that the city purchase three voting booths and
three ballot boxes,&scotch tape, seconded by Clark, the roll was
called and votes wefts as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye;
Sw~tnan;-aye; McKeon-absent; and Young; acting as mayor.
Kla.mm moved meeting adjourn, Swetnam seconded said motion.
