HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-02-02MINUTES OF REGtTLAR MEETING OF BORAD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI February 2, 1960 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri February 2, 1860 at Ss00 p.m. and upon a roll call, Klamm, Nelson, McKeon, Swetnam and Young were present, Clark absent, Mayor Filger Absent and Acting Mayor Young calling said meeting to order. Minutes of meA~ings of January 5 and 19, 1960 were read and accepted as read. Collectors report for atonth of December, 1959 was read and accepted as read. Treasurer's report for tnonth of December, 1858 was read and accepted as read. Mr. Victor Panus inquired with regard to the City black toping the east entrance road to Indian Hills Addition and after a discussion it was decided that Nelson get two or three bids for the black toping of the road from reputable people, but he should also contaest Engineer Myers to check the construction of the road and if Myers approves same that he go ahead and get the bids and all the aldermen could then be contacted with regard to the price or could decide at our next council meeting, but Mr. Panus wanted an answer as soon as possible as he was leaving on vacation February 13. Klamm moved that Mrs. Paulhe write letter to Highway Patrol, attention of Sgt. Roscoe Laurie, telling them how much the police department and the council appreciates their cooperation which they have given Riverside since its incorporation, that is with the police court, seconded. by McKeon, the roll was called and votes were as followss Clark-absent; Klamm-aye; McKeon-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young, acting as Mayor. Klamm moved that Bill No. D-60-2 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the 6ity of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows be placed on its first reading, seconded by McKeons Skyline Inn (Refund on publication of notice for rezoning) $84.10 David Brenner and Paul Gibson(Refund on publication of notice for rezoning) Paris Realty (Refund on publication of notice for rezoning) Bank of Riverside(Rent of box) Lenville-Harrington (Water City Hall) Maurice J. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-60-2 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows Clark-h6aent; Klemm-aye Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-aye; Young, acting as mayor, and Bill No. D-60-2 was accordingly read. Klemm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-60~e be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-60-2, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-absent; Nelson-aye; Klemm-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnsnraaye, Young -acting asimayor, and Bill No. D-60-2 was accordingly read, approved by Acting Mayor Young and became Ord. No. D-60-~. Klemm moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Nelson, meeting adt~ourned . February, 1860. Read and appreoved as read this 16th day of ~~ ~i- _- - ~ -
