HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-02-16Minutes of Regular Meeting Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, February 16, 1g60 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall February 16, 1860, at 8100 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Klamm, Nelson, Swetnam and Young were present, McKeon, absent and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of regular meeting of February 2, 1860 were read and accepted as read. Treasurers report for month of January, 1860 was read and accepted as read. Klamm moved that a letter be written Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and advise them the Mayor and Board of Aldermen have agreed not to change the3.@ity3s ordinance with regard to companies, people, corporations, etc. furnishing telephone service in the city paying 59~ of gross receipts from same,. seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as followss Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson aye; McKeon-absent; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. Klamm moved that Mr. Vermillion~s remodeling permit; Emery Brenner~s building permit and Robert Wilson's building permit be approved, seconded by Nelson, the roll ws~s called and votes were as followss Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye. It was agreed to send Mr. Victor Panus copy of letter received from Engineer E. I. Meyer wherein Engineer Meyer gave his opinion w3~a regard to the east entrance road of Indian Hills and the condition of same and what should be done before an attempt to pave same should be made. Klamm moved that Bill No. D-~0-3 being bill providing for appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows be placed on its first reading: Linville-Harrin ton(Water City Hall Schooley, Inc. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-60-3 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as followss Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-~ Swetnampaye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-6o-3 was accordingly read. No. D-6o-3, were as follows: Swetnam-aye; and read, approved b; rmved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-60-3 third reading and upon passage of same become seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and votes Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-absent Young-aye; Bill No. D-60-3 was accordingly Y Mayor Filger and became Ord.
