November 1, 1960 A megular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the 'City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Mo. November 1, 1960, at 8: c)0 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Klamm, McKeon, Swetnam and Young were present, Nelson absent and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of meeting of October 18, 1960 were read and accepted as read. Collectors report formonth of October, 1960 was read and accepted. Young moved that the notices of hearings on Kalivaa and Clarks request for rezoning certain property be advertised in the paper for Decmeber 6, 1960 (Tuesday) at 7:30, one hearing to be followed immediately by the second, seconded by Klamm, the roll was ca17e d and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klasrnn-aye; Nelson-absent; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Young moved that Marshall Davis be sent back to both trailer courts and present a written report to the council of his findings, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-absent; McKeon-eye; Swetnam-eye; and Yung-aye Young moved that with thecouncil~ s approval, would li~l9t Marshall Davis to get the name, address, age and list of the dependents of each person in the police department, would like to have the amount ofinsurance they have, hospitalization, and all other information along the line of insurance from the police men, seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and votes were as follow s: Clark-aye; K1amm-aye; Nelson-at~~ Swetnam-aye; McKeon-a ye; and Yung-aye. Klamm moved that three more street lights be added to the proposal of the Kansas City Power & Light Company, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-ale; Klamm-aye; Nelson-absent; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-aye; and Young-aye. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 178A1 being bill providing for lights to be installed on U. S. Highway 71 and the IIunctions of U.S. 71 and 69 and U. S. 71 and Mo. 45 in accordance with the plat attached to said Bill, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-ale; Klamm -aye; Nelson-absent; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. 178A1 wsa accordingly read. Clark moved that rule s b e suspended and ~ffill No. 178A1 be pla ced on its second ~eeading, seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and votes were as follow s. Clam-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-absent; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; ~'oung-aye; and Bill No. 178A1 was accordingly read. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 178A1 be placed on its third read ng and upon passage of same become 6rd. No. 178A1, seconded by Swetnag-, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-a..e; Klamm-aye; Nelson^absent; Swetnam-ays; McKeon-aye; Young-aye; Bill Nod 178A1 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and becarue Ord. No. 178A1. Klamm said he went over all the roads before the rain and other than the orn road n the bottoms, he said they were in pretty good condition. Clark moved that all the gravel roads in Riverside be bladed at the cost of 150.00, seconded by Klamm, the roll was cal led and votes wane as follows: Clark aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-absent; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-aye; and Young-aye. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D60-1® be placed oh its first reading, said bill covering disbursements from the general funds of the treasury of the City for the payments of certain indebtedness to credit~a~s and employees ad stated therein, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; K1amm-aye; Nelson-absent; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-a6e; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-60-b2® was accordingly read. Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-60 ~ be placed on its second reading , seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-absent; Swetnam.-aye; Mchceon-aye; and Young-aye; Bi11 no. D-60 ~Q was accordingly read. Klamm moved that rule s b e suspended and B311 No.D-60-gyp be placed on its third reading and if same be passed it become 6rdinance Ivo. D-600, seconded by Clark, the r 011 was called and votes were as follows; Clark-aye; K1amm-aye; Nelson-absent; Swetnam-ale; McKeon-aye; and Y ung-aye; Bill No. D-60-,~ was accordingly read, approved by Mayor^Filger and became Ord. No. D-b0~~g, Klamm moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Swetnam, meeting adjourned. Read and a proved this day of November, 1960.
