Missouri - December 6, 1960
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City
of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside
Missouri on December 6, 1960 at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call,
aldermen Clark, Klamm, Nelson, Swetnam, McKeon and Young were present,
Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order.

Mr. H. H. Everi.st, Sr. of Intercontinental Engineering -
PFanuf~:cturing 'Corporation spoke to the council with regardto the
constructions of their buildings adjacent to the Ps~rkville bend
on the Missouri River, stated the plans for these buildings would
be forwarded to the City very sho rtly. He spoke with regard to
~6ae type of work to be done here, a~ d stated more heavy and laz°ger
types of work could be done here, whereas before it would h=eve to
be sent to Dallas, Texas and elsewhere.
The council suggested that another inspection of the two trailer
parks, Prince arx7 Greens, be made and their findings reported to
the council meeting.
Klamm moved that an amendment be written to ordinance
No. 255 to require that all types of residential construction in
the City of Rive side has to oonf~rm to FHA specifications or
better specifications, 3_ncluding single family dwellings as well
ae Duplex and multiple dwelings, and apartment bimildings, seconded
by Clark, the roll was called and said motion passed unanimously.
K72 mm moved that the City accept the ~,oning Boardts recommendation
on the rezoning of all property starting at its intersection with
Highway 71 with. the North City linits southerly to a point L~02.60
ft. S. of the center of Sed. 33 Twp. 51, R. 33, Platte Co., Mo.
thence eastt-rardly along the N. boundary line of East Slope Cemetery
property and allong the East boundary line of the East Slope
Cemetery property a~ad to the SE Rd. and bounded on t he E. by the E.
City Limits, said property to be rezoned as follows: 300 feet of
said property along U. S. 71 Highw~.y be rezo ned to District D and
the balance of said property in Riverside, Aissouri to be rezoned
from District A to District B, Also all of the property in the SW
1/!~ of the N'G1 1/~~ of the NE 1/La. of Sec. 5, TWP, 50 R. 33, containing
ten acres, more or less in R_versid~~~M~~~~o~oi~~ ~ez~rn, d ~rom

was called and motion passed unanimously.

It was suggested that the City secure purchase orders and
every purchase for the City ha.s to have a purchase order number,
said purchase orders to be 100`,~~ controlled by the council.
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-60-22
being bill providing for the appropri^tion of money out of the
general fund of the treasury of the City of Riverside,, Missouri
for the payment of certain indebtedness to employees and creditors
as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Clar k,
the roll was call d and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye;
Nelsen-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-aye; Young-aye; and Bill D?o. D-60-22
was accordingly read.
Klamm moved that rules be suspended and B%.11 No. D-60-22
be placed on its second ra ding, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye;
Swetnam aye; McKeor.-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-60-22 was accordingly
read.
Nelson moved that rates be suspended and Bill No. D-60-22
be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. Nol

D-60-22, seconded by I~icKeon, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; PTelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; and Bill ida. D-60-22 was accordingly ready approved
by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-60-22.
Klamm moved that meeting adjourn, seconded by Nelson,
meeting adjourned.

You will note the Council approved the rezaing of
certain property described therein and you will remember
you did write the ordinance with regard to the property at the
north City limits, but you also rezoned the property not in
~eraids. We wish you wxa].d send us correct ordinance and
also include the other described 10-sore tract of land.

section of the minutes which requests that you amend Ord.
