Minutes ®f Regular Meeting ®f Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City of Riverside, Missouri on April 7, 1959 at 8:00 p.m. and upon a r®ml call, Aldermen Clark-, Klemm, Nelson-, Swetnam, McKeon were present, Young, absent and Mayor Filger calling said meetin,-; t® order. Minutes ®f ro¢gular meeting ®f March 17, 1958 were read and accpted as read,Treasurer~a report and Collect®r~s report f®r month ®f March, 1959 were read and accepted as read. McKeon reported on the Street Signs and stated he assumed everyone was in favor ®f ti®ing Riverside's street nu~bera in with those of Kansas City North and sta ted that it would take approximately X200.00 for the street si®r,s and posh t© mark the streets in Riverside, it was also stated that most of the streets in Riverside were already named aid if Riversided to tie in their streets with Kansas City N®rth, Junetian 71 and 69 w®uld be approximately 2800 West and up 71 Highway it w©uld probably start at 1}600 North, also he thought perpahs all the addresses in Riverside would ha'-e a Southwest in them, but thoup,~ht that a meeting with the street naming and sign committee should be had. Klamn moved that letter be written t® Mr. Dorsey requesting that he submit a statement monthly and itemize said statement as tv the amounts for each service rendered, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as full®wa: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-aye;&Young-absent. It was suggested that Mr. Leslie Renner be contactred and request him to investigate the p®ssibility of investing approximately 20,000.00 in bonds ®r saving c®mpany, and ask him t® give a report ®n his findings. It also was suggested the Highway C®mmissien be written with regard to their repairing the drives on the southeast corner and northwest c®rner of the ~uncti®nsvf Hi~~waybs 6gand 71. McKe®n reported that the road in Indian Hills needed s®me repairs is be dens in the black tep x~a.d and also there were other black t®p roads t® be repaired and it was su1;gestedthe road committee look over the roads and see want repairs should be done tv other black top roads and that they then be repaired. Klemm moved that the foll®wing buflaling applicati®ns be accepted: Vict®r C. Panus, J. E. Boudreaux, Gerald D. Karr, IInistrut Distributing Corp; and the following remodeling applications be accepted Kenneth T. Cox and Floyd Mo®re, ascended by Clark, the r©11 was called and v®tes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Y®ung-absetn. Klemm m©ved that Bill No.1,017 being bill appropriation ofmoney out ®f the general fund of Missouri f®r th® payment of certain indebtedness placed on its first reading: Rerniece Davis - D®rvthy Thomson - Effie Moore John W. Klemm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 1,017 be placed sn its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as fell©ws: Clark-sye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-sye; Young-absent, and Bill N®. 1,017 was accordingly read. Klemm moved that rules bs suspended and bill No. 1,OID7 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ordi No. 1,017, seconded by Nelson, the roll was c celled and votes were as follows: Clark-eye; Klanun-aye; Nets on-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-aye; Young-a~rspnt~ and Bill Nol 1,017 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 1,017. Klemm moved that Bill N®. 334 being Bill canvassing the returns of the judges of the general city electi®n held on April ~, 195, f®r the City offices and declaring the results thereof and providing for the issuance •f certificates of election, be placed on its first reading; seconded by 61ark the roll was called and votes were ^s follows: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelsen-aye; Swetnam-aye; McKeon-aye; Young-absent and Bill No. 334 was accordingly read.
