July 7, 1959 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside Missouri was held in the city hall in Riverside on July 7, 1959, at ~:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Klamm, Nelson, McKeon, Swetnam and Young were present, Clark absent and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. for June, 1959 The Treasurer's and collectors reports/were read and accepted as read. Mr. Jim Terry in quired with regard to securing liquor license, but advised none were available at the present time. Young moved that we accept Asst. Chief of Police Seneker~s recommendation that the speed limit be changed on M-45 highway from a point 1~ miles east of the west city limits to the west city ]snits from the present 35 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour and the speed limit on US 6g beginning at its ~urtion with M-45 south (both north and south bound) be changed from the present 35 miles per hour to 45 miles per hour, seconded by Klamm, the knoll was called and votes were as Hollows: Clark-absent; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. ~ The police committee suggested that the two permanent employes on the police department be given an increase in salary of $10.00 per month, becoming effective as of July 1, 1859, and with motion by McKeon that the two permanent a ~o ~sJ~~,tie ~~ce department be given a $10.00 per month increase~an~ seconded ~~ Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as Hollows, Clark-absent; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam aye; and Young-aye; said motion carried. Klamm moved that Bill No. 1,023 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows be placed on its first reading: Donald L. Seneker,(Asst. Chief of Police) Robert R. Clark(Patrolman) Irene Paulhe (Sec. to council) John J. Brice (Patrolman) Mrs. Helen Brophy (Collector) Russel G. Power & Light Co.(Electric Service) Town and Country Hdwd(Misc. Items per statement) The Craddock Uniform(Police Dept.) No. 1,023, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-absent; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. 1,023 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord.
