August 4, 1959
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of River-
side, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, August 4, 1959,
at"82®0 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Klamm, Nelson,
Swetnam and Young were present, McKeon, absent and Mayor Filger calling
said meeting to order.
Minutes oP regular meeting of July 21, 1959 were read and
accepted as read.

Collectors report for month of July~was read and accepted
as read.
Klamm moved that the road committee get two or three bids
on black topping the road in front of City Hall Building to
Highway U.S.69, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes
were as followss C]ak-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-absent;
Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
Nelson moved that inquiry be made of Mr. Dorsey with regard
to the legal right and procedure to follow for the City to use the
$500.00 bond of the Gas Company for the repairing of the roads where
the Gas Company laid their pipe-line and also to see what to do
with regard to the two places on south road that the Water Company
had dug up, seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-absent;
Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye;
Nelson moved that the road committee have perl~ission
to do the following work on roads in Riverside, Missouris
Spend $1.00 to replace oil on road in front of Swartz house on
Northwood Road
" $110.00 to repair function of Sunset Dr. and Northwood Road
Ten or delve loads of gravel on Norwood Road
Fix the road south of Mayor Filger~s house in Indian Hilla with
Bulldozer, approximately 25 to 50 dollars only if Mr. Panus
gives written permit to do said work.
seconded by Klamm, the roll was caned and votes were as Pollowss
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-a~egnt; Swetnam-aye;
and Young-aye.
Swetnam moved that Mr. Moore's remodeling permit be
accepted and approved, seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and
votes were as followss Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKevn-absent;
Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
Nelson moved that Bill No. 1025 being bill providing for the
appropriation of funds out o~~~t~ general fund of the City of Riverside
for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows be placed on its
first readings

seconded by Klamtn, the roll was caB.ed and votes were as follows:
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-absent; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; and Bill No. 1025 was accordingly read.
Klamm moved that rules be suspended and bill No. 1025 be
placed on its second reading, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called
and votes were as followss Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Swetnam-aye;
McKeon-absent; Young-aye; and Bill No. 1025 was accordingly read.
Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 1025 be
placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No.
1025, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as followss
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon absent; Swetnam-aye;
and Young-aye; Bill No. 1025 was accordingly read, approved by
Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 1025.

Nelson moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Klamm, meeting
Minutes read and approved as read this day of August, 1959•
