Minutes of Regular Meeting ofBoard ®f A7d ermen of City of Riverside, Missouri December 1, 1959 A regular meeting of the B®a~3d 0f Aldermen of City of Riverside, Mis souri was held in the C9_ty Hall on December 1, 1959, at,' ~00.,p.m. and upon a roll ca1l,Aldermen Clark, Klemm, Nelson, McKeon, Swetnam were present, Young-absent and N;ayar Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of meetingaf November 17, 1959 were read and accept8da as read. Collectors report for month of November, 1959 were read and accepted as read. Klemm moved that Bill No.~-26 AI being bill relating t® persons, firms, cempanies or corp®rations now ®r hereafter engaged in business of furnishing exchange telephone service in the City of Riverside, Missouri and providing ferfee to be paid f®r such occupati®n license, the method and tine for payment of said fee and pr®viding a penalty f®r violation heremf, and repealing mrdinances in conflict he remf, (namely changing the amount from a lumpsum figure to be paid yeerly t® 5~ of the gross income from telephone service in Riverside, Missouri), to become effective January 1, 1960, Clark seconded the motion, the roll was c ailed and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; I4cKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent and Bill No.3.Z6/3r wss accordingly read. Clark moved that ~tizles=`basuspended and Bill No.3.2~A1 be placed on it second reading, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Cla rk-aye; K}Ziun-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam,-aye; Yeun~-absent and Bill No.3Z(v~~ was accordingly read. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill N®..~~6f}( be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become become Ord. No. $$6uritn moved that Bill N®. 340 being bill prohibiting the p®ssessio~ of intoxicatingliquors and non-intoxicating beer by persons under the al;e of 21 years, and making; it unlawful for persons under the age of 21 years to purchase, receive or attempt to purchase or receive in- toxicating liquors or non-intoxicating beer, and making it unlawful far any persons under the ~e of 21 years to misrepresent their age for the purp®se of obtaining intoxicating liquors er non-intoxicating beer, end providing for a penalty f®r the violation the reef, seconded by Clark, the foil was called and votes were as f©llows: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; hTelson-aye; McKeon-ay®; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent and Bill No. 340 was accordingly read. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 340 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes we:ee as follows: Clark-aye; Klan,m-sye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-abs snt and Bill No. 340 was accordingly reaed. No. 340, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-eye; Klemm-aye; Ne7s on-a~*e; McKeon-eye; Swetnam-aye; Youn,~-absent; Bill No. 340 was accordinglly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ordinance No. 340. Clark moved that Bill No. 341 being bill renumbering certain ordinances cf the City of Riverside, seconded by Klemm, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klanun-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent and Bill No. 341 was accordingly read. The council requested a letter be written Southwestern Bell Telephone Co~pany advising them of the new ordinance and als® a letter be written Mr. Charles requesting him to advise of the latest developments with regard to the situation at Moores store and surrounding vicinity. Klemm moved that bill N©. 1033 being bill pr®viding for the appr®priation of money out of the general fund. of the City of Riverside Missouri f®r the payment of certain indebtedness as foil®we be placed ®n its first reading: Donald L.
