A regular Meeting d' Bcae rd of Aldermen City ®f Riverside, h~Iis souri December 15, 1959 A regular m3 eting; of the Boardof Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City :call in Riverside on December 15, 1959 at 8:00 p.m. a~ d upon a r®11 call, aldermen Cla rk, Klamm, S~tetnam and Yung were pres<,nt, Nelsen and McKeon absent and Mayer Filger calling said mcet9.ng to order. Mr. Martin s poke with regard t® his p®ssibly getting some informa- tion and people to help Eiverside with its zoning problems. I-ie stated there is a group of .,,en in Kansas City who meet with the council and help them work out their pr®blems. Mr. Marschel, District Manager of The Southwestern Bell Telephone Company spoke with regard to Riversides Ordinance 326A1, am ending previ®us ordinance wherein the Telephone Company is required to pay 50 of the gr®ss income from Telephone service in Fiverside as license fee. Mr. Mars~ihell requested the Council reconsider this Ordinance and if possible, make it, the license fee in a lump sum amount, and he was advised that since all the council members were nat present, it would not be the proper time to consider this problem, alss that all other utilities in the City of Riverside were paying a 5~ •f the gross income amount as license fee. Mr. Marschell also stated the approximate gross income from telep'one service in 8iverside was 35621 annually, and that there was an approximately ~2700..i0 mileage charge in this vicinity which the Telephone Company anticipated t© remove and this would red~hce the cost of telephone service and would appreciate Riverside goin` along with the lump sum amount for the year 1960. Klamm moved that Bill NA. 1034 being bill providing for appropriatian ®f funds f®r the payment of certain indebtedness out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri as follows be placed on its first residing: Donald L.
