July 15, 1958
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of}$versida,
Missasi was held in the City Hall at 8:00 p.m. on July 15, 1 958,
and upon a roll call, Aldermen Clark, Klamm, Nelson, Scrivner , McKeon,
and Young were present. 1_J8

Treasurer's report for month of June, 1958 f~qs read and accepted
as read.
I4r. Graham, representing Messrs. Kiernan and Fox, with regard
to operating a Taxi Cab Company in 8iverside. He was again advised that
the City did not feel that a franchise should be given them.
Klamm moved that Bill No. 328 being bill amending Ord. No. 258
by adding a section thereto prescirling the fee to be paid by operators
or owners of Taxi Cab Companies,in Riverside and that the fee be X25.00
per year for the first cab and $25.00 per year in addition thereto for
each additional cab, seconded by Clark, the roll wasc ailed and votes
were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-sye; McKeon-aye;
Scrivner-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 328 was accordingly read.
Nelson moved that Bthl~s be suspended and Bill No. 328 be
placed on its second reading, seconded by Scrivner the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm•eye Nelson-aye; Scrivner-ays;
McKeon-aye; Young-a;re; and B-ill No. 328 was accordingly read.
Scrivner moved that rules be s uspeded and Bill No. 328
be placed on its third r::ading and upon passa_;e of same become Ord. No. 3 ~
seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Scrivnerpaye; McKeon-aye Nelsonpaye; and Bill No. 328
was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 328.
Mr. Pettyjohn inquired with regard to the City's accepting
his plat, but he was told that the one road on the east side of his
property would h ve to have a 50 foot right of way and could not be
accepted until it did.
HBamm moved that Mr. Victor PanusNelsoncathenroll waslcalled
residential house be approved, seconded by ,
and all voted in favor.
Young moved that the rules be suspended and Bill No. 329
being bill increasing the Assistant Chief of Police salary to ~375•~0
per month and John J. Brice's salary to X315.00 per month, both
becoming effective as of July 15, 1958, be placed on its first reading,
seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clarkeaye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; Scrivner-aye; Young-aye;
and Bill No. 329 was accordingly read.
Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 329 be placed
on its second reading, seconded by Klamm, the roll was calledScrivner-a e•

Nelson moved that Bill No. 1001 being bill providing for
the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the 0ity of
Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtness as follows

Klamm moved that ru~ea be suspended and dill No. 1001 be
placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No.1001,
seconded by Clerk, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon aye; and Young-aye;
Bill No. 1001 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor F'ilger and became
Ord. No. 1001.
Klatnm moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Young, meeting=
adjourned.
