A Special Nl:eting was held of the Board of Aldermen of the
City of Riverside, T~Iissouri in the City Hall on January 3,1957,
at 8:00 p.m. Jpon a roll call, Aldermen Clark- Klamm- Nelson-
Sca°ivner- Sawyer- and Youn, were present.
A special rneet3.ng was called. by Aiayor Filger to conduct the
City's business.
Minutes of Regular meeting of December 18, 1956 were
read and accepted as read.
Mayor Filger reported on the hearing held prior to the
Special Meeting said hearing was had with regard to the vacation
of a certain road in Riverside, Missouri, there was no opposition
to the vacation of said reed and same would be vacated, in accordance
with the ordinance of the City of Riverside.

Collector's report for month of December was read and
accepted. as read.
Dr. Gould spoke regarding his granting the City of
Riverside an easement on property extending from Rive~side into
Crladstone for the purpose of running a water line when and if
Riverside got their own water system and were willing to extend
it into Gladstone.. The easement would be at no cost to Riverside,
and he stated it w:~uld probably save a lot of extra work if this tirere
done before January ~, l~ 8 when Kansas City will take this land and
also'%efore the highway department might take same. Dr. Gould
was advised the counsel would advise him later, after more thought
was given to the rnatter.
Mr. Art Sheller requested per miss'_on to make X25.00 a month
payments on the 300.00 he is in arrears on his occupation license
until it is paid together with his monthly sales occupation license
and he was advised by the council that no one had authority to msice
grant permission in violation of the city ordinances.
Young moved that the City purchase Uniforms for Policemen
Seneker and. Smith in accordance with the letter presented by
Policeman Seneker, seconded by Scrivner, the roll was called
and. votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klam-aye; Nelson-aye;
Scrivner-aye; ~~awyer~aye; and Young-aye;
Thereupon Cl~.rk moved. that Bill ATo. 2F9 beingbill
appropriating mone~~ out of the ~,eneral fund. of the City of
Riverside, Missouri for payment of certain indebtedness as
follows be pl ced on its first reading:

Nelson moved that rules be suspended and B"11 No. 269
be placed. on its second. r.eadir_;, seconded. by Clark, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: Kla r.;-aye; ClarTf-aye; Nelson-aye;
Scrivner-aye; Sawyer-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. 269 was accordingly
read.

Klamm moved that Rules be sus~:~ended and Bill No. 265- be placed on
its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. PIo. 268,
seconded by Scrivner, the ro 1 was called and votes were as follows

Clark moved that the City allow Donald L. Seneicer,
Policeman, up to ~~''S0.00 for expenses to attend police school
at Columbia, Missouri, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called
and all votes infavor.
