HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-02-05Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of 2.ldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri February 5, 1957 A regular i:,eeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Tull on February 5, 1957 at 5:00 P.M. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Kla.mm, Nelson, Scrivner, and Young were present, Sawyer, absent and Mayer gilger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of regular meeting of January 15, 1957 were read and accepted as read. Collectors report for month of January, 1957 weseread and accepted as read. Clark moved that 2500 arrest tickets for the police department be purchased, seconded by Scrivner the rollwas called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klarr~i-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye; Sawyer-absent and Young-aye. Merle employed for peiriod of 6crivner moved that/leer be ~~~s~d.x~nx~k~.~~:ax~~a one month as Policeman, from February 5 to T^'i~r cl~ 5, 1957, seconded by Clark, the roll was called anat votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye; Sayer,-absent; Young-aye, Flamm moved that the City Have Mr. Dorsey draw up necessary ~ pers or obtain the information for the City of Riverside to accept the easerient o~ the property offered to Riverside by Dr. Gould which could possibly be used as way to pipe water to the City of Gladstone s'nould the opportunity arise, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye; Sawyer-absent; and Young-aye; Mayor Fi-lger appointed Scrivner, Young, Nelson and Clark as c~;mrnittee to see Mr. Leslie Renner ~egar<ing right of way from highway h9 to City Hall. The Leasee of White City, T~~r. Swinger wanted to know whether he could Fet the licenses tr=nsferred to his name but he was advised this information 1-could be Lien to 'nim at tiie next meeting. Scrivner requested permissS.on to get the road in Northwood acres patc'ned and upon motion by Scrivner to order apir oximrtely four loads of hot mix to patch road ans sedonced by Yung, the roll wa_ called and votes were as f •llows: Clark-aye; KL mm-aye; Scrivner-aye; Safer-absent, Nelson-aye and Youn~paye; Thereupon Scrivner moved that Bill No. 273 being bill providing for apprompriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, T~ii::souri for the paymentof certain indebtedness as follows e x~laced on its first reading; s.~~~d~x~~.x K. Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 273 be placed on its third reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-a e; Nelson--aye; Scrivner-aye; Sawyer-a'ose r. t, Young-aye; and Bill No. ~73 was accordingly reed.
