PIo. 276. Klamm reported that he talked to City A`torney Dorsey about the <:bove wound tanks at the station on highway X69, prev`.ously I~1ott1s station. After a discussi n on this matter, it raas decided to have Mr. Dorsey write a letter regardin;_; just what should ie told the new occupant, ~rJillrrd Lowell l:eaman, with regard to the burying of the tanks before he w;u ld be issued license to operate the statS_on. Policeman C. r'. Smith suge:.ted the City purchase a trash burner Nlrs. Helen Brophy spoke regarding the heavy bl sting on the side of Highway No. !}5 and tho:uht if it was not stopped it would do con- siderable damage to houses surrounding; the vic pity, and requested that the be ad~irsed to stop the heavy bl~..sting. It ~..as decided that t'~i s matter awould be taken up with the persons involved and ther_ if this would not stop the h avy blasting, other steps would nave to be taken and also it was sugt_ested an ordinance be written covering this rnattcr. Upon motion by Clare, and seconded by Scrivner that the purchase of gun for :'Ir. Felts be made in recognitie~n of services rendered, the roll was called and all voted in favor. Clark moved that Policeman Donalc. Seneker ha-,e permission to install the extra siren which the City ha.s on his private car, seconded by Klamm, the roll was called and all voted in favor. S:~rivner moved that the Police Coms~ittee be €;iven permission to purchase five signs with "Speed Electrically Tirned" to be installed at different places ~hon; the highways in Riverside, seconded by Clark, the roll w~ s cal7e d and all voted in favor. Klamsn moved that Bill No. -:78 being bi~1 regulating and governing taxi cabs and taxi dirvers in the City Limits of Rive~~s}de, Missouri, be placed on its first read~.ng, seconded by Sa~.~yer, the roll ~•:as called and votes were as follo4rs: Clark-aye; Kla~:rr;-aye; Scrivner-aye; 2,elson-aye; Sa.~ryer-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 278 was accordingly read.
