October 1, 1957
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri was held at the City Hall in N'i:rerside
October 1, 1957 and upon a roll call, Aldermen Klamta, Nelson,
Scrivner, McKeon were present, Clark Absent and Maygrr Filger calling
said meeting to order.
A letter to Mr. Victor Panes dated September 27, 1957
regarding streets in Indian Hills was read and Mr. Panus~'
reply of October l,elso was read. It wsa decided that the
aldermen and Mayor look at the toad in Indian Hills which is
underc onatruction on Saturday October 5, 1957 at 10:,$0 a.m.
and then consult Mr. Dorsey and have him prepare the necessary
papers in order to have the Platte of the other Indian Hills
Additions recorded.
The police committee would like to report that by October 6,
1957 Mr. Robert Clark will have completed his 2 month training
period and has put in approximately 200 hours. He is doing quite
well, but could possible use-more training and it is the recommendation
of the Police Committee as wed]. as that of asst. Chief of Police
that Mr. Clark be made a regular member of the police department.
It was also reported that Mr. Seneker~s brother Douglas Seneleer
has been working on the police department on and off for a while
in Riverside and Parkville and would like to have a discussion with
regard to his being a trainee on the police department. Marshall
Davis stated he would like to recommend Douglas Seneker to be a
trainee as he had has more than average training in this line of
work.
Scrivner moved that Mr. Robert Clark be accepted as
s regular part time policeman, starting September 20, 195? and
that Douglas Sen®ker be a policeman trainee for a period of 60
days, seconded by Klanun, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: Clark-absent; KlamYn-eye; Nelson-eye; McKeon-aye;
Scrivner-aye; and Young-aye;
Thereupon Scrivner moved that Bill No. 298 being bill appropriating
money out of the general fund of the city of Riverside for the
payment of certain indebtedness as follows be placed on its first
reading:

seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as Pollowa:
Clark-absent; Nelson-eye; Klar~paye; Scrivner-age; McKeon-aye;

Nelson moved that/Bill No. 298 be placed on its second reading,
seconded by Klemm, the roll was cal]e d and votes were as follows:
Clark-absent; Klemm-eye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-eye; McKeon-eye;
Young-aye; and Bill No. 298 was accordingly read.
Klemm moved that Sulea be suspended and Biml No. 298 be placed
on its third reading-and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 298,
seconded by Scrivner, the roll was called and votes were as follows:

Young-aye; Bill No. 298 was accordingly read, ap proved by Mayor Filger
and became Ord. No. 2981
Klemm moved meeting ad~oturn, second by Nelson meeting adjourned.
