A re~lar meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside on
November 19, 1957 at 5:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark,
Klamm, Nelson,Scrivner, McKeon present, Young absent and P'leyor Filger
calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of regular meeting of November 5 were read and accepted
as read.
Mr. Star, visitor requested that he be reimbursed for rock
he purchased for the Tillison Lane, road to his house and he still
advised the road was not in food condition, namely because of
the new road to the Fairfax bridge being constructed, and also
for the reason that the P&L Co. constructed a culvert so that the water
t~ would not drain from the road properly. Mr. St~ was advised the
council would call P&L Co. andalso the pers~~i~~Q~i~ ~t~4~ hi~iway
construction, and they would also rr~et wit%~ Mr. Star snd see what
could be done to improve the road.
Mayor Filger reported that he requested the special road district
to grade the Rancho, Branco Apt. and Karen Roads and the special road
district stated they would do do.
The road cous,~ittee reported on the roads in the city and
found the following:
Road to Crreen Trailer Perk in terriable condition, it needed waded
and rock.
The Beilgum Bottom roads need rock and the approach to the
hi~ay at deuggst Ameel~s place needs black top. Tilliso3i Lane needed
some gravel. In northwood acres, the :.-ravel roads need some gavel,
including South Side, 'rJade Acres road, Norwood Road and Mandan Road.
also needs gravel.
Nelson moved that Scrivner be authorized to purchase 63 loads
of. gravel for the roads in Riverside, first he is to try to purchase
it through the special road district or to see if they will haul it.
If they willnot, he is to secure the lowest price, that is for the
good type gravel or rock, seconded by Clark, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Clark-sye; Klamm-aye; Scrivner-eye;
Nelson-sye; and McKeon-aye; Young-absent.
Klarmn moved that N;r. Dorsey be contacted and advise h'm to
take the necessary steps to get the hater Company to pay the proper
amount for their business license to do business in Riverside,
seconded by C1^rk, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye; McKeon-aye; and
Young-absent.
Prices re;;arding new police car were presented to the council
and u on motion b Scrivner that the City purc,~as tie Ridge from

seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes
were as follow s: Clark-aye; Klamm-sye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye;
McKeon-aye; and Young-absent.
The matter of having a policeman on duty all night long
was brou€r,ht up and at the last police eommi~tee meeting it was
suggested that Asst. 6hief of Police Seneker to check on another
full time policeman and then the ma tter would be further discussed.
Asst. Chief of Police Seneker advised the police department
would like to have a camera as it would come in very useful many times,
end he was advised to het some prices and types of cameras he tho.:~ght
would be best fitted for their use, then one caa.ld be purchased.
Upon motion by Scrivner that Bill No. 301 being bill providing
for the appropriation of money out of the Treasurer of the Cit of
Yiaerside, Misouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as Follows

absent; and. Bill No. ~O1 was accordingly read.
C1=irk moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 301 be placed
on its second reading, seconded by Klemm, bhe roll was called and votes
sere as follows: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye;
McKeon-aye; Young absent; and Bill No. 301 w as accordingly read.

and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 301, seconded by Nelson,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klemm-aye;

was accordingly read, approved by rlayor Filger and became Ord. No. ro301,
Clark moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Klemm, meeting
adjourned.
