December 17, 1957
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on December 17,
1957 at 8:00 P.M. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Klairnn, Nelson,
Scrivner, P~IcKeon and Young were present and Mayor Filger calling; said meeting
~o order.
Minutes of Regular Meeting of December 3, 1957 were read and
accepted as read.
Treasurer's report for month of November, 1957 was read and
accepted as read.
A discussion was had with regard to Ordinances 287 and 288,
business licenses to be paid by the Parkville 6dater CoiT~pany and
Southwestern Bell Telephone Ooirpany respectively. The conclusion
reached was that the ordinances would remain the same, that is the
two c:,mpanies shall pay 5f of the dross income from the Oity of
Riverside, but that the water company ordinance No. 287 would be
supplemented with another ordinanne extending the time within which
to figure the amount of their sales, and upon motion by Scrivner to
that effedt, and seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and all voted
in favor. In Connection with the above ordinances, Young wished to
go on record of going along with the council in any way which they
a3-reed upon.
Upon motion by Klemm that Bill I~'o. 304 being bill providing
for the appropriation of certain funds from the general fund of the
City of Riverside for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows
be placed on its first reading:

seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-aye; Klemm-sye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye; McKeon-aye; and Young-aye;
Bi:'1 T'.o. 304 was accordingly read.
The renpon Klaratr: moved that f~ules be sus~anded and Bill No. 304
be placed on its ~h~mnd reading, seconded by Nelson, the rollwas called

Thereupon Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No.
X04 be placed on its third read"n~ ;and upon passage of same become
Ord. No. 30L}, seconded by dark, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clerk-a6e; Klemm-aye; Nelson-aye; N,cKeon-aye; scrivnersaye;
Young-aye; and Bill No. 304 was accordingly read a proved by Mayor
Fiber and became 0_d. No. 304.
Clark moved that Noel Deconi.nk application for building permit
,e appegted, sec.,nded by Klemm, the roll was called and all voted in favor.
Clark moved that mee~Bing adjourn, s econded by Klemm, meeting
adjourned.
