A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of The City cf
Riverside, Missouri was held at the City Hall on January 3, 1956
~~ 8:00 P.M. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Clark, Klamm, Nelson,
Scrivner and Young were present, Traugott a'~sent,and Mayor Filger
calling: said meeting to order.

and after a lengthy discussion rer~ardin~r the hiring of a policeman
for relief work, it was decided that the police committee would meet
and discuss what could be worked out and who they would hire and
th~~t in meantime the police committee take applications. Mr. Boyd
said he had in mind a man who had already filed his application
and it was then decided to possibly get this may to cover Fo?
r`r. Boyd on his days o`f and then possibly have him work 6 hours a
a da~* f'or 5 days per a,eeK and of"i'er him 1110.00 per month.
It teas also decided to have som e architects to draw pland

gether for just what was wanted in the new building and the type of

Klamxid moved that r~ les be suspended and Bill No. 220
be placed on its first reading;, said bill being bill Fmoviding For the
appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside,
fissouri for the payment of certain irx'iebtedness as follows;

second by Tlelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-a~*e; Klamm-aye; ~?elsnn.`~aye; Scrivner-aye; '.I'raugott-absent;
Young-aye; and Bill No. 220 was accordingly read.
Klamm moved that rules be suspended and bill No. 220 be placed
on its second reading, second by Clark, the roll was called and votes
were as follows; Clark-ale- Klamm-aye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye;
Traugott, absent; and Young, aye and bi 11 N?o. 220 was accorui ugly
read.
Klamnmoved that rules be suspended and b:i.ll NTO. 220 be placed
on its trird reading and upon passage of same become Ordinance No.
219, second by Scrivn°r, the roll was called and votes were as follows
Clark-aye; Klat~i-aye; Tdelson-aye; Scrivner-aye; Traugott-absent,
Yovn~-aye; , bi 11 No. 220 was accor dingly read and approved by
l"avor Filg;er and became Ord. No. 219.
Scrivner moved meeting adjourn, second by Kl~rryn, meeting adjourned.
