RD OIL' A 1LF.REN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI February 21, 1956 A regular meeting of the Board of Alc'.ermen of The City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Mo. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Clark, Klamm, Nelson, Scrivner and Young- were present, ;~r~u~ottt_a~sent and Mayor Filger Calling said meetin" to order. Minutes of regular meeting of February 7, 1856 were read and approved as read. 156 Collector's report for month of January was read. N;arshall Boyd requested permission to E;et police car repaired, and after a discussion was had re~,ardng the many repairs already trade to the police car, it was suggested that the car be taken to Edgar ',:'right Garage to see just what was wrong with car and what it would court to repair sas~.e. N:r. Mullin submitted to .the co~.mcil preliminary plane for the City Hall building and other projects to be buil8 on the City property. These plans were discussed and a few changes proposed. Mr. Mullin and I~'.ayor Filter executed agreement between owner and s.rchitect, rewarding the plane for the building of the City Ha].1. NIr. Clifford Srnith, wino applied for the job as policing in R'~verside was interviewed by the council. It was decided that iF9Eit3i~Fx ~ev_:ral other matters re~ardinr_ the hiring of a new policeman should. be settled and r~r. Smith was advised that the policeman or council m~~ax would advise him possibly by the next meeting. Young moved that Bill No. 225 being a bill amending that portion of Ordinance No. 15 with regard to the Marshall-s salary and providing for the Marshall~s salary to be X50.00 per year beginning April 1, 1956, be placed on its first rending, second by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Kla.n~-n-aye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye; Traugott-absent; Young--aye; and Bill No. 225 was accordingly read. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 225 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Nelsoh, the roll was ca~.led and votes were as follows: Clark-a~re~ Klat~~r.-aye; Nelson-aye ; Scrivner-aye; Tr~.ugott-absent; Young-aye; and B.11 No. 225 was according- ly read. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 225 be placed on its t.hir d reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 224, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye; Klamm-aye; `1'rau~;ott, absent; Young-aye; Bill No. 225 was accordingly read, ap proved by iviayor F~lger and became 6rd. Thereupon Young moved that Bill No. Amending Ordinance No. 141 and providin" for Police Judge be 67.50 per month, beginning . on its first readin`, seconded by Clark, the votes were as follows, Clark-aye; Klarrm-aye; Traugott-absent; Young;-aye; and Bill No. 226 226 being a bill the Salary of the April 1 ,1956, be placed roll was called and Nelson-aye; Scrivner-age; was accordingly read. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 2 27 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 226, seconded by Scrivner, the r ll was called and votes were as follows Clark-aye; Klarr~-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-a~-e; Traugott-absent; Young-aye; and Bill Nol 227 was accordingly read a:proved by P;ayor ]~'ilger and became Ord.
