A regularmeeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Aissouri washeld in the City Hall, May 15, 1956 at 8:00 p.m, and
upon a roll call Aldermen Clark, K~~mnn, Nelson, Scrivner andYoung
rJese present, Traugott absent and Aiayor Filger calling meeting to
Order.
Minutes of meeting of,Regul~r meeting of May 1, 1956 were
read and approved as read.
Treasurer's report for month of April, 1956 was read and
accepted.
h"r. Keeney of Parkville Telephone Of'f ice advised the dial systean
would go into effect August 5, 1956 and if' any group of the City
officers or their frien$s would like to make a tour through the
new building before that time, to make an appointrlent with him
and he w::uld gladly show them through the new building.

It wa.s reported the Civic Club has di solved and the money they
had in the tr:asure would 1~e donated to the City to pu chase a flag
for City Hall.
Young: reported he contacted the 'Jayside ,daifs and they stated
they could not come to this meeting but may be able to make it our
next meeting, this was in regard to the stray dogs in Riverside.
It was reported Mr. Dorsey is working on the widening of the
road and this is still not complete.
A discussion wc.s had on the water hydrants and the City wanted
four additional hydrants and A~r. Holloway promised the city same.
It was advised that Dr, sagle wrote the eater C~:mpany and stated
he would not pay on the ~;ater hydrant he had.
Klamm read letter to be written and delivered th the tavern
owners, upon motion by Nelson that said letter be delivered to
all taverns in City of Riverside, Nlo., and second ed by Klamm, the
roll was called and votees were as fo llows: Claris-aye; Klar~m-aye;
Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye; Young-aye;&Traugott absent.
P!~arshall Boyd~s resignation wa_s read and after a lengthy
discussion and a few things it oned out, Mr. Boyd withdrew same.
K~ moved that Teresa Scaol and John Cuzze business building
permit be accepted, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klarrm-aye; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-aye;
Tr^ugott-absent, Young-aye;
The-' eupon Scrivner moved that Bill No. 2!}J~ being bill providing
for the appropriation ofm ney out of the general fund of the City
of Riverside, Missouri, for the payment of e}ertain indebtedness as
follows be alac ed on its first reading,

Ne leon moved that rules be suspended and bill No. 244 be placed
on its second receding, seeorcl ed by Klaxrm, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-sye;
Trauigo~~-absent; Young-aye; and Bill No. 244 was accordingly read.

as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye; Traugott-absent;

became Ord. No. 243.
