July 17, 1956
P. regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of River-
side, Missouri was held in the City :call in Riverside, July 17, 1956,
at 8:00 P.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Klamm, Dielson,
Scrivner, Traugott were present, Mayor Filger absent and Acting Nlayor
Young; calling meeting to order.
Minutes of Meeting of July 2 were read and approved as read.
Treasurer~sreport for month of Jun®, 195, was read and accepted.
K1amm moved that Bill No. 24.7 being bill approving the Plat of
Jean's place, a subdivision of land in the CitSr of Riverside,
Platte, County, M333ouri, be placed on its first reading, seconded by
Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye;
Klamm-aye; Ne]..~n-aye; Acrivner-aye; `i'raugott-aye; and. B 11 No. X47
was accordingly read.
Clark moved that rules be suspended and bill DIo. 247 be placed
on its second r:=ading, seconded by Scrivner, the roll was called and
votes c~rere ~:s follows: Clark-aye; Klasrun-aye; nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye;
Traur;ott-aye; and Bill No. 247 was accordingly read.
Kla~~m moved that rules be suspended and Bill Dior 247 be placed
on its third reading; and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 246;
seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye; Traugott-aye;
and Bill No. 247 was accordingly read, approved by Actin;.-N~ayor
Yount and became Ord. No. 246.
A letter was read which was received from Nir. Nate Shurin with
w i ch he attached check from Harry Azorsky in the szm of 5;75.00 for
licuor license; with motion by K1aiTmi that business 19_cense a;~plica-
tion be sent to Tyr. Shurin for cornplet~,on on the licuor license
and also for the s tore, seconded by Nelson, the roll was called and
all voted in favor.
Clark moved that the City purchase two suns reading
"Slow - Children Playing" to b e erected in Indian Hills, seconded. by
Klam , the roll was called and all voted in favor.
The mati;er of having an ordnance drawn up regarding having
the car license become due on January 1 of oath year was discussed
and it was decided to ha ~ the Cit-;; attorne~r draw up same.
It w as also discussed that the number of 3.2/ beer license in the
City of Riverside be decreased and that the City Attorney dra?-~ up
suc~-~ license, with motion by Nelson on same and seconded by
Klansa, the roll was called and al 1 voted in favor.
Clark moved that the City accept ar~plicat'•_on of Rev. ';iarren
for ren:odeli n g of the Ba~-,tist Church, seconded by Klarrirn, the roll
tiy~as called and all voted .n favor.
Kla,mm moved that Bill Iv'o.2Ji9 being bill provid ~_ng; for the
appropriation of raoney out of the ;general fund of the City of
Riverside, Tio. for the pa,,-ment of certain ~.ndebtedr_ess as follows:be
