BOARD OF ALDERMc;N OF TH~~ CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the
City of Riverside, Missouri was held February 15, 1955, at the
City Hall and upon a roll call, aldermen, Nelson, Panus, Scrivner
and Young were present, Aldermen Clark and slam m were absent,
Mayor Filr~er calling said meeting to m der.
A proposed ordinance regarding contract with the Telephone
Company of the City was read and Nr. Keeney of the Telephone Camp any
presented a~,°oposed ordinance of the Telephone Company. After a discussio n
was read egarding the license tax, it was agreed that Mr. Keeney would
present~~hecouncil figures on wr~ich the telephone license tax would be
based, at onr next regular meeting, March 1, 1955.
Thei°eupon Youn~noved that Bill No. 180 being a bill
providing for a b ~.zi lding code r: gule< ti on, the construction, enlargement,
alternation, rep=,ir,,•uving, demolition, occupanyc, equipment, use,
height, area and maintenance of builaings and s~ructures in the City of
Riverside, Missouri, and providing penalties for vio]a tion be placed on
its .first reading, second by Nelson, t. he roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clark-absent; Klemm-absent; Panus aye; 1V~1s on-aye;
Scrivner-aye; Young-_~;j3; and B'~7.1 iTo. 180 was accordingly read.
Panus moved that a notice be published in the Platte County
Gazette thatthere will be a public hearing on the ammendment of` the
Zoning Ordinance to amend. said ordin~,.nce so that it will include the
area annexed under Ord. /#76, according to the recommendation of the
honing Commission, and on the same date, March 15, 1955, atthe City
Hall in btiverside, Mo., at 7:00 P.T~1. a public hearing will be held
on the pro osed amendment to the zoning law of the City of Riverside
to allow residential construction in the Indian Hills Addition in
Disi=rict A to be constructed cbser than 35 feet from the front
pr op~rty line according to th.e recommendation of the zoning commission,
second by Scrivner, the Roll was called and votes were as follows
Panus-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye; Young-aye; Clark-absent, and
Klemm-absent.
Thereupon Young moved that Bill No. 151 being;a bill
provicin~; for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the
City o1' Riverside, Missouri, ibr payment of ce- tain irrt ebtedness as
follows:

Thereupon Scrivner moved that rules be suspended and that
Bill No. l;~l be placdd on its second reading, second by Nelson, the roll
was called and votes ~ae~e as follows: Clark-absent; Klemm-absent; Panus-aye,
Nelson-aye; Scrivner-ace; and Young-aye; and Bill No. 1G1 was accordingly
read.
Thereupon Panusmoved th atrules be suspended and that bill no
181 bealaced on its third reading and upon passabe of same bee,=me
Ord. ;~?o. 180, second by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were as follow
Clark-absent; Klaxnm~absent; Nelson-afire; Panus-aye; Scrivner-aye; Young-afire;
and Bill No. 1~~1 was accordingly read, a~>proved by Mayor Filger and
became Ordinance No. 180.
