A regular meeting of the board of aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri was held at the city hall in Riverside, August 2,
1955. T'pon a roll call, aldermen, Clark-Klamm, Nelson, Scrivner,
Traugott and Young were present, Mayor Filger calling said meeting
to order.
Minutes of regular meeting July 19,1955 ',were
re ad and approved as read.

g1r. George Pease requested the City accept the
plat for 7 Oaks addition, and after a discussion and memorandum
fr:;m Mr. Dorsey was read, it was decided to have a special meeting

regarding the accepting of plats and the specifications and conditions
of roads before the City of Riverside will accept same.

second by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Scrivner°-aye; Nelson-aye; Traugott-aye;
Young-aye; and Bill No. 203 was accordingly read.
Thereupon Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 203
be placed ,gin its second reading, second by Klamm, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Clark-afire; Klamm-aye, Nelson-aye;
Scrivner-aye; Traugott-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 203 was accordingly
read.
Thereu~-on Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 203
be placed on-its third reading and upon passage of same become
or dinance No. 202, second by Nelson, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-aye; Scrivner--aye;
Traugott-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. 203 was actor dingly tea d,
a moved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 202.
Nelson moved meeting adjourn, second by Klamm, meeting
adjourned.

Special Meeting of the

A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Riverside was called by Mayor Filger August 4, 1955, in the
City Hall at 7:50 p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Clark,
Kl~,.mm, Nelson, Scrivner, Traugott, and Young were present, and
Mayor Filger calling said meeting to odder.
The purpose of the special meeting~as to agree upon minimum
specifications to be complied with for roads which the city
is to take over. This would cover roads constructed by private
parties, as well as roads in new additions being built in riverside.
Also present at said meeting were: City Attorney, Mr. Dorsey.

After a lengthy discnasmdn it was decided that the best
and most reasonable type of road for the city to require any .person
to construct if they desire the city to accept the road or roads
would be that it should have a 50~ right of way. The paved portion
to be 30' with paved cux'bs. The fills should be filled in such
a way agreed by the Board of Aldei~nen or whoever they choose. The
base of the road shall be of 6" of crushed rock and covered with
2" as:~haltic-cement .On All Roads of Streets which people anticipate
the City to Take over they shoe..ld pr:,°sent their plansto the council.
Also the roads or streets are to have not more than an 8J grade.
Klamm moved me~.ting adjourn, Scrivner, second motion and meeting
adjourned.
