Minutes of Neeti_ng of August 2, and minutes of special meeting of August !{., 1955 were read and approved as read, Tr e3surer~s report for July, 1955, was read, real estate or personal Young moved that there be no city .E tax in Riverside for year 1955.a~~, Clark secondmotion and upon a roll call, the votes were as follows; Young Aye; Traugott-absent; Scrivner-aye; Nelson-absent; Klamm-aye; and Clark-aye; Said motion Wised. Clark retorted that steps are being taken to locate property for City F=all, Mayor Ford of Pdm thhoore asked r:ayor Filger if Riverside ~~.ould be interested in ann_,xing Plorthmoore, but after a discussion it was decked Riverside was not atlhhe present time qualified to annex said Idorthmoore, Letter from I~:rs. Thomas Allen was read, wherein she reouested she be given permission to have beauty shop in her home in Northwood Acres or close to Northwood acres, but said letter would have to be given to Zoning Board and they act on this request. i`Iayor i~'ilger reported on his going to the Special Road District metting and the amount al~tted the City of Riverside $hr their roads was ^`'1250. TY~ereupon 15 minute recess wa.s declared. I~.eeting reconveniened and upon roll call, aldermen: Clark, Klamm, Young, and Scrivner were present, Traugott and Nelson absent. Youn?~noved that remodeling permit for residence of Charles V, Tripp be approved and that 8 building permits for residence of Little Vill.ege, Inc. be approved, also that business building permit of I•r. Peeler be approved, second by Klamm, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-aye; Klamm-aye; Tdels^n-absent; Scrivner-aye; `I'r~~ugott, absent; and Young aye, It z:as recided to repair the No~th~rrood road, but before doing any repairs, bids should be gotten from two or more Companys for the repairing o~ sa_id road. Thereupon Clark moved that Bi__1 No. 20L}. being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the city of Riverside for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows: Southwestr rn Bell T~leplmne Co. Davis (Police court clerk) be placed on its first reading, second by Klamm, the roll was c~~.lled and votes mere as fo llows: Clark-aye; Klaxnm~zaye; Nelson-absent, Scr3.vrer-aye; Traugott-absent; and Young-aye; and bill No. 204 as accordingly read. Klamm moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 204 be placed on its second reading, econd by Scrivner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark- aye; Klamm-age; Nelson-absent; Scrivner-aye; Traugott-absent and Young-aye, Bill No. 204 was accordingly read, Klamm moved that rz~lesbe suspended and bill No. 204 be p'asecond b its tY!.ird reading and upon passap~e of same become Ord. Thereupon Scrivner moved that Mrs. A Davis, i'olice Court Clerk, have an increase in salary of ~p10.00,~p~pak~i~ ~er salary a total of ~2Q.4Q ~er month second by Clark, the ro 11 was called and votes mere slo oas; Clam-aye; Klamm-aye; Nelson-absent; Scrivner-aye; Traugott,absent; Young-aye; said motion passed.
