Minutes of regular meeting of August 16 were readand approved as read. Collectors report for month of August, 1955 was read. N,'r. ~,~rl S. Charles, Sanitarian of Platte County spoke on the routine to be taken on certain situations which might oP have developed in Rives°side. He stated that of ter a complaint is filed it must be carried through, if the City does not h andle the matter, than the County will attempt to have the matter taken care of with the p^rmission of the state. He suggested that the City issue ratings or certif ic~3tes to the eating places, showing that the method they are using in handling the fb od, washing dishes, cooking utincils, etc. comply kith the health department. He also pr omised to help out wits other Ir oblems in Riverside. The Sanitarian may be reached during; the week days by calling Platte City 355 from 8:00 s.m. to 9:30 a.m. or in evenings at his Hom1~,' Hi 1 nd 7~09,~ Mr. Charles also reques ed that he be notified of buildinc;s~'~"e"~`~~~permit is issued k.°-V.,- ~ $ Mr. Hughes of Phillips 66 Service Station, Jcts. 71 & 45 complained of the sewage in back of hisstation, which cane from ~b~'"'~~ the Green's Trailer Court, and the Sanatarian promised to investigate ~`^'~'~ this matter and some of the councilmen :ere also to look over the ~ situation. Thereupon 15 minute recess was Declared. P!ieeting reconveniened and upon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Yaaxrm, Nelson, Scrivner, Traugott, anc, Young ti•,ere present, Mayor Filger calling meeting to order. Young moved that W. H. Boyd, Policeman have an increase in salary from y~260.00 per month to X285.00 per month, becoming effective with the pay period on the 15th day of September, 1955, second by Klamm, the roll was called and all voted in favor. Thereupon Klamm moved that Norman L. Jones and '~ illi ~n Kalivas residen~/~ pe rmits be approved as ~,aell as Kenneth V, Myers Buisness B~,ilding p; rmit and N. J. Nelsons request for permit to build a barn also be approved, second by Scrivner, the roll was called and all voted in favor. Thereupon Scrivner moved that Bill No. 205 being a bill providin~z; for the appropriation of money out of the general i'und o" the Cite of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows be placed on its first reading: Oliver Turpen Prescription Shop (First Aid Kit) Pyramid Petroleum Co.
