A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riv®rside
P'isouri was held November 1, 1955, at the City Hall at 8:00 p.m.
I'pon a roll call, aldermen Clark, Nelson, Scrivner, and Young were
present, K1amm and Traugott were lcbsent. Mayor Filger c~;lling said
meeting to order.

Collectors s reE:ort for month of October, 1955 was read.
Thereupon Scrivner moved that Bill No. 210 being a bill
authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter, execute on behalf of
the City of Riverside, Mis.ouri, A c:~ntract for the purchase by the
dity of Riv>_rside of certain real estate in Br®ntcrest Addition within
the City Limits of the City of Riverside, be placed its first reading,
second by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows, Clark-aye;
Klamm-absent; Nelson aye; Scrivner-aye; Traugott-absent; Young-aye;
and Bill No. 210 was accordingly read.
Thereur~on Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 210
be placed on its second reading, second by Scrivner, the roll was
called and votos were as follows; Clark-aye; Klamm-absent; Nelsen-aye;
Scrivner-aye; Traugott-a~ysent; Young-aye and bill No. 210 was accc~dingly
read,
Thereupon Clark moved that rules be suspended and bill No. 210
be placed on its third reading and upon passage o~ same become
Ordinance FTo, 209, secon~ by Dlelson, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clark-aye; Kla~~n-absent; Nelson-aye; Scrivner-aye;
Traugott-absent; Young aye; and Bill No. 210 was accordingly read,
a.?rroved by Ma~ror Filger and became Ord. No. 2~9.
Young stated Midweat Precote didnot do a very good job on the
Indian Hills Road and that the road committee should look at the
road and see if a written complaint should be made.
Young moved that the counsel instruct the clerk to insert the
notice of hsaring on petition for vacation of Filger Road in Riverside,
be placed in the Platte County Gazette, second by Nelson, the roll was
called and votes were as follo~;rs: Clark-aye; Klannm.-absant; Nelson-aye;
Scrivner-aye; `[~raugott-absent and Young-ay°.
Thereupon Nelson moved that Bill No. 211 being a bill providing
for the appropriation ofmoney out of the general fund of the city of
Riverside, Misouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as follows

Therein.-on Young moved that Bill No. 212 being a bill
providing for the appointing of :~i. H. Boyd to serve as marshall
the unexpired term of C. E. Atwell, and to p rform all of the
duties provided in ordinance hiring td. K. Boyd as Policeman
as well as the dutiesof Marshall be placed on its first reading,
second by Scrivner, the roll w^s called and votes were as follows:

'y'oung-ayes and Bill No. 212 was accordingly read.
Thereucon Clark moved that rtiales be suspended and Bill No. 212
be c laced on its second reading, second by Nelson, the roll was called

cr~vner-aye; Tr:~ugott-absent-Young;-aye; and Bill No. 212 has
accordingly read.
Thereupon Nelson moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 212

a :roved by r'ajror Filg~r and became Ord. No. 211.
Mr. and of Northwood acres inquired as to what could be done
regarding the speeding and reckless driving in Northwood acres,
and after a discussion w^,s had it was decided the police committee
and Marshall would try to iaork out som thing to co rrec this
