Mayor Filger reported on the sites wa ch were to >•e looked

Thereupon Panus reported on the naming of the streets
in the City of Riverside, The~.e signs ~.JOUld be ,~.`_de of l~s ga, steel,

Thereul:~on Panus moved that we adopt a number system for the
streets in the City of Riverside, usin g 71 Highway from the north limits
of Rivezsi.de to its intersection with 45 Highti.~~,y and continuing on in
a protr~etive straight line north and south to the river as a dividing
line fore •>st and west num'r,ering and to further adopt a numbering
system beginning at the river and continuinr~ northward to the north
City limits for north and south numbering, each division of numbers
to be by one hundreds end to be determined by 600 ft, distance more
or less, taking into count ex_S_sting streets and. rods for the purpose
of suer. division and further move that as a p~ rt of the numbering
system that the true names of existing streets and roads be determined
nnc be used in the numb<:rinn system, except where impr~:ctical and that
the City of Riverside purchase f,~ur-way signs and posts for erection
at each intersection of existin~~ streets and roads and that a
committee be ar.pointed for the purpose of prepa.rinF; a. plan 'o ased on
such numberin€*, system, second by Clark, motion passed unanimously.
There~zron Young. moved that Fanus be a committee of one to
use above basis for num~E:rinm a.nd namin" straetsof City of Riverside
a.nd that he select any pers~,n or ~ rsons he desires to help him,
second by Baa.ch, motion carried.
Thereupon Scrivner presented a map of the City of Riverside
s. o~rring~ r~roposed locations who re stop signs, speed limit signs, etc.
